I arrived to San Francisco at 10pm in a greyhound and go to Adelaide in a Uber for 10 dollars, the place was nice, comfortably and I left mi bag the next day and I go to walk for San Francisco before mi fly. I recommend

La amabilidad de las personas, son lo máximo. Tenía miedo de ir al Hostel porque nunca lo había experimentado, pero en general está muy bonito y son seguros.

Hostal céntrico y limpio
Solo estuve una noche hospedada. El servicio en recepción es muy bueno. El hostal está céntrico. Me he quedado con la idea de que mantienen limpio el lugar. La única pega es que si se va con una gran maleta será difícil subir con ella las escaleras, porque no hay elevador en el edificio. Por lo demás una estancia agradable.

Dos personas me atendieron de muy mala manera, una chica en recepcion y otra chica en la cocina. Two girls in the recepcion and kitchen assist with me very worst.

Buen hostel
En líneas generales el hostel es muy completo. Los baños están limpios y los colchones son cómodos. Todos los días hay actividades que tienen precios muy accesibles. Sin embargo, las literas de arriba pueden resultar un poco incómodas.

Cómoda estadía
Me pareció un buen lugar excelente relación calidad /precio. En una zona céntrica me pareció segura y la atención del personal fue lo justo para sentirte cómodo. Definitivamente una excelente opción si viajas con bajo presupuesto

i place is okay. i thibk is over prices even is one of the cheapest option arround the área. Walking from BART is not nice becase hills and tons oh homless. I was treat like just like money and not Pearson. Tjey did not let me choose a bed in the lower secction even there were aviable. i felt nit nce thre

Buen hostal.
El personal fue bueno, la ubicación, esta en un pequeño callejón a dos cuadras de union square, pero por lo mismo es tranquilo, me hospedé en un dormitorio compartido con otras 5 chicas, la cama no es muy cómoda, pero cumple con su función y cuenta con un locker(tienes que llevar tu propio candado) , los baños son compartidos, a mi percepción no los limpiaban todos los días, y tampoco la habitación.Ofrecen un desayuno continental. En general bueno, si lo único que quieres es dormir y bañarte.

Me quede dos noches en un cuarto de mujeres, las camas tienen cortinas para mayor privacidad y debajo de la cama un espacio para dejar las maletas bajo llave. El desayuno es bueno y esta bien ubicado, lo malo es que son escaleras y subir las maletas es complicado

Ubicación buena. Hotel feo.
El hotel esta muy bien ubicado! Cerca de todo,y lejos de la zona de vagabundos, con lo cual uno se siente cómodo al salir de noche. Pero el hotel no es muy lindo, los baños compartidos son pocos y hay que hacer fila para bañarse...

For the price and location I give it 5 stars. Noise and SF grime and lawless factor in the area take a star away. That being said it is what it needs to be and I’d stay there again if everything else around is > $1000 per night.

The staff was very rude and would not take my money the indian chick in the front didnt have any experience or knowledge on how yo attended the gust. So i just said i will take my business else where and with a ignorant look and smile said ok lol

I bought two bottles of water for A Dollar Cash each. No big deal, right? Turns out not one, but both bottles had already been opened and were refilled with tap water that tasted horrible and caused my lips to react. You think they could at least give you a new bottle of water when buying bottled water. There was a typical noisy people and such, but it was so hot in the evening I couldn't sleep through my bed of sweat since there was no AC or fan. At least I got three or four hours of sleep before my flight the next day. I definitely wouldn't stay for multiple days and don't buy the bottled water ;-)

It is simply not true about the water however - I buy the water personally and stock the fridge, it is most definitely not opened and refilled.As for AC, it rarely gets hot enough in San Francisco for AC, no buildings except big name hotels and malls have AC. 50 weeks of the year it is windy and cold!

建物自体は古いですが、充分清潔に保たれていると思います。キッチンがあって自炊ができるので、食費を節約したい人にはちょうどいいと思います。朝食には、パン、牛乳、卵などが無料で提供されます。シャワーの水温、湯量ともに問題ありませんでした。ただやはり相部屋なので、同室になる人の当たりハズレがあるのかなと思いました。最初に泊まった部屋ではアジア系の中高年の女性が「コロナが怖いから窓を開けっぱなしにしたい」と言っており、夜寒く、騒音もうるさかったです。ホステルに相談したらすぐに部屋を移動することができましたが、次の部屋では高齢の女性がずっと咳をしながら寝込んでいるようでした。日中観光に出ている様子もありませんでした。グーグルレビューにいくつも指摘がありましたが、行き場のない人たちがこのホステルに住んでいるのかもしれません。感染症などが気にかかったので、結局別のホテルを予約し直しました。

They are trying, and this is usually a cheaper hostel. The immediate neighborhood it is in is nasty. So if you want a cheap place, that is the tradeoff

Thank you for your feedback. Our neighborhood is OK in San Francisco terms, we have the Hilton to the right and the very exclusive Bohemian Club to our left. But the city does have a lot of homeless folks unfortunately.

The Adelaide Hostel was a clean, quiet and safe property. The staff were wonderful and the use of a kitchen was greatly appreciated.

Make sure you get a good room on a good floor
I read the good and bad reviews, and I got to experience both scenarios. I was put in room A when I first arrived. Walking into the room it was hot, smelly and looked like a 17yr old’s room (this was a 6-girl dorm)… one of the residents had taken up multiple lockers and they had to have her empty one for me…I started talking to her and learned that she had been in the room for over a year and other occupants had been there for 3 months and 6 months. There was even old food sitting in the window which I didn’t see until later. The lowest rung of the ladder was waist high (I’m 5’) and they had empty buckets to use to climb on. The shower on that floor was horrible, you couldn’t even wash below the waist well because the shower wouldn’t angle down. I complained so much that the next day they allowed me to pick another room. After finding others that were not much better, I found one with real travelers that was clean. Finally I felt safe & comfortable. I also found the shower upstairs that is nice and the one in the basement is standard size and has a seat. The breakfast isn’t bad and actually is actually put out by about 5am. I learned that a large population of the occupants are permanent residents so this is not really a hostel, it’s a boarding house. It’s not in the best part of town, but neither is the Hilton I had to walk to at 6am…but at least here I wasn’t uncomfortably approached…I did have a guy pester me at the Hilton while I waited for my Yosemite tour.

It's not a hostel
The images are a little deceiving, the place is far from being clean, the smell is dreadful and there is a sense of danger behind every door, every corner of the building. Management maybe tries their hardest but the price definitely attracts street people who clearly haven't bathed in a long while and a lot of odd people in the common areas. Even if it's for a short stay I'd recommend to avoid this place as much as possible.
