Maria’s place is an absolute gem. The apartment is super cozy and inviting. It is super clean and beyond stocked with all the things you need. Pool toys (the pink pool noodle made my daughter’s entire week), beach toys, chairs, coolers and ice packs. She had games, all the cooking utensils, seasonings, coffee station and more. The AC works well and the beds are comfortable. Having a washer and dryer is a huge bonus. The view from the patio was absolutely amazing. We started every morning and ended every night from the patio. Coffee and sunrise in the morning was peaceful. At night we enjoyed listening to the music from the pub across the street on the weekend nights. Comfortable chairs and a hammock!Close proximity to just about every thing we wanted to do. Short ride to the rainforest, Loquillo and seven seas beach and many restaurants. The pools were also a hit and we were grateful to have them especially having our kids with us. We already miss it and would absolutely stay here again! Thanks Maria!

Great Views and Balcony

The condo was great for our island vacation! It was an easy drive about 30 miles east of San Juan once we landed. The check in process was a breeze as Maria Elena (the host) provided very specific instructions. She was easy to communicate with, but everything was great and barely needed to.The accomodations were good. The apartment could use some updating, but it as pictured on the website while booking. The building felt very secure and safe. We spent some time on the balcony as the views are stunning and it has been made very comfortable with the funiture. We would have spent more time out there when we were at the apartment, but there was a seaweed bloom (sargassum) and the smell didn't allow it. We were warned about the smell prior so we expected it. All five of us slept comfortably, the bathrooms were adequate, the WiFi worked great and we didn't use the kitchen much, but had everything we needed when we did. Having the washer and dryer available with washing pods was a plus!I loved the location was easy access to local beaches as they were BEAUTIFUL. As well as restaurants both sit in and fast food and a Walmart right outside the neighborhood for a quick run for things needed or forgotten.

Nice property under other conditions. But location in Fajardo was inundated with sargassum and being oceanfront was intolerable. Host was accommodating and refunded us, but the situation was not disclosed beforehand so was a huge hassle having to not only find but move to another place. Host was insulting and upset days after assuming we left air conditioning on when it was their cleaning staff that did so.

BEST view and location!!

Everything about the stay was flawless. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities. Maria even went and bought a greca for us to make coffee after I asked for one. The location is better than what is in the listing description. Views are tremendous. Maria is very quick to respond.

Better than Paradise

It doesn’t get any better than waking up everyday in this place! I loved waking up, looking out at the sunrise while in bed then enjoying my cup of tea on the balcony while watching the boats leave every morning. Unbeknownst to me my husband and I stayed in this exact unit 11 years ago, only wishing we could come back to paradise again one day, fast forward and we had the opportunity to while bringing our children with us this time. Highly recommended! Communication from the renter was top notch as was the cleanliness of the property. If you’re looking for a vacation in paradise look no further!

Island escape with stunning views!

My family had a wonderful stay at Peña Mar! We arrived later in the evening and the check in was a bit confusing, however Maria was very responsive and we figured it out. Upon arrival the condo was clean and comfortable for the 5 of us. It was around 8pm so we ventured down the street to find some place to eat. We sat at El Cayo for close to 20 minutes without service. We left and went to Pasión por el Fogón, per Maria’s suggestion. It was delightful. The service and the food was excellent. Great way to celebrate our first night. Waking up to the marina and sea views was amazing! We spent so much time on the spacious lanai, watching the boats come and go and the breathtaking sunrises. Really enjoyed Fajardo and all it has to offer. Unit had great beach gear (wagon, chairs, towels, etc). We to Seven Seas beach on Good Friday, it was packed! Unfortunately, we were told to avoid the less crowded beaches Colora and Escondida because the rip current was too dangerous. When we travel, we like to stay in houses or condos because we like to cook and avoid eating out every night. The unit’s kitchen is a little light on dishes and cooking utensils. Additionally, the unit had a 5 cup coffee pot. Being that there were 3 adults, we bought a 12 cup coffee pot for the unit. More towels, especially hand towels, would have been helpful as to not do frequent laundry. Overall, we loved our stay here and would return. Maria is very responsive and forthcoming with suggestions.

3 Bedroom Marina Condo

The view from the balcony is beautiful and the condo is a great size. Unfortunately, due to the humidity, there is a very strong mold smell in the elevator and condo. Two of the ac units within the condo were not working properly which made it hard to breathe. We opened the double sliding doors to change the air in the condo. Towels that were provided were ripped and dirty. I reached out to Maria to let her know about our concerns, her response was quick but she was not able to really do anything for us to improve our stay. My recommendation would be to possibly add a dehumidifier in the condo as it will help with the air quality and the mold smell. Something must be done for the building elevator as it is unbearable to breathe with the smell of the mold. Overall we enjoyed our short stay at the 3 Bedroom Marina Condo in Farjardo.

Great place. Amazing view

It’s a great neighborhood! Apartment located on the 4th floor so the view was amazing! Comfy beds, check in process easy and smooth and great communication with the host. Some things to improve that were respectfully communicated to the host who was very responsive and said will be working on them soon.

Our week visit in March

The view from the balcony was a beautiful scene of water, islands and boats. The apartment was a good size for a family of six. Unfortunately, the kitchen was under supplied. For example: for a family of six there were only 5 forks with which to eat. At the bottom of the hill there were some bars that blared loud music until the wee hours of the morning. The guests in bedrooms on that side of the apartment were not happy. The host was unwilling to supply additional kitchen items while we were there.

Would definitely return!

Check in was a quick & simple. The directions sent to us by the property manager were easy to follow. The condo itself was just about the perfect stay. We walked through before unpacking & found everything was very clean. The beds are super comfy. The AC in the rooms were just enough to get through the night. The master had a fan in the closet which really helped circulate the AC. Though the AC in the living area was not functional the property manager suggested we open all the door and lock the screen door to allow the coastal breeze to flow through; it was perfect enough to do the trick and felt so good. When we were in for the night our time was spent on the balcony area enjoying the breeze off the coast and listening to the music from the locals across the way. THE VIEW WAS AMAZING!! The kitchen was enough for what we needed; pots, pans, silverware, some basic seasonings. The washer & dryer was perfect for our small family and keeping up with the towels throughout the week. The pool area and gym were enjoyable and easy to access. The only con would be the dishwasher leaked when we used it and I ended up mopping up the water. It wasn’t a lot, but water socks never feel good and it’s a slipping hazard if not noticed. We chose not to use it and did dishes by hand. Didn’t bother us a bit. Oh also, weather related….when it did rain the lights flickered and we might have lost power for a few seconds. Overall a wonderful stay I’d definitely use this rental again. Thanks to Maria Bermudez for always answering our questions or concerns quickly. I use rentals whenever on vacation and she was the quickest property manger to respond and was super helpful! I’d rate the stay 9/10 and will visit again!

Beautiful Tropical Getaway

The condo is in an excellent location. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the building that the unit is located in is very quiet. Check-in went very smoothly. The place is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully stocked with all you need to enjoy your stay. To no fault of the owner, there was a toxic algae bloom that was occurring during the time of our stay and the smell was extremely noxious. When we'd open up the patio doors and front doors to let air into the unit, the smell was evident. Also, upon arrival, the fire alarm was blaring in the hallway outside the front door so it was loud. The owner was extremely responsive to our messages and she contacted security many times to fix the issue. We also contacted security many times to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, it took three days before it was silenced. Again, this was not the owner's fault but a failure on the part of the association to act. As for suggestions to improve stay, I would suggest fixing the air conditioner unit in the living room. We stayed during a heat advisory period when some of the days the air was stagnant and not moving through the unit. We'd open up all the patio doors and the front door to let in air, but it made cooking breakfast in the kitchen very hot and uncomfortable. On days where the air was moving, the breeze was divine. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night and enjoying the night time breezes. The beds were comfortable, the condo was super clean and we made good use of the cooler and beach towels provided by the owner. The unit is conveniently located near great food establishments, super markets, fast food, convenience stores and excursions. We enjoyed a day trip to Icacos on a Catamaran from the marina located right across the street from the condo. The last suggestion I would make is the location of the parking spaces for this unit. You are allowed up to two cars that are parked back to back. However, the first spot is located next to a wall that encloses the garbage cans. If you pull all the way into the spot, you cannot open your passenger side doors. It's too tight and the car parked next to us was not centered in their spot which made it impossible to park two cars. We would have to let people out and let the driver pull straight through. We only had one concern with security when a person placed a rock to keep the door open to the building that is supposed to remain locked at all times. We removed it.

Cute Oceanfront Condo

The condo was great! It was very comfy and well equipped. Since I was traveling with two friends, it was nice to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The owner was also very nice and prompt in communication.

Great stay. Too short

Condo was exactly as it appears in the pics!! Beautiful! We had a slight snag with the check in at the gate when they couldn’t find our reservation but was quickly resolved. The manager was always a available and accommodating. Would highly recommend this condo. Thank you for the enjoyable experience.

Really enjoyed the spectacular view and sea breeze. Property manager very helpful. Living room TV set up most suited to group of 2, but alternate TVs in bedrooms. Close to El Yunque and tour boats.
