I have been to Las Casitas en El Conquistadors many times. I got engaged there, got married there, birthdays, etc... This resort is not new to me. So when I booked this, I thought I was booking this through Expedia, but I had no idea Expedia was linked with Vrbo which apparently has hidden small letters with rules and regulations for this rental. This means no Palomino Island, no Spa, no gym, or use of the restaurants on property. Fortunately for me since I’m from the island, I managed to use ALL the facilities anyway and had an incredibly wonderful time.
About cleanliness: it rained on and off every day and water comes through the door daily. There’s a mop there so you have to mop every day. They sent the cleaning person the day after I checked in to mop the floors.,lol… even though I already told the owners I did it myself. Since she was already there, I pointed at all the dust in certain areas of the bedroom and the kitchen. She SAW what I was talking about, cleaned those specific areas, but the place still needed a better cleaning, especially in the bedroom. Also when you shower get ready for the bathroom floor to be wet because the shower doesn’t really have a door that closes, this means more mopping. The best part of this place was the balcony. There you can sit, listen to the birds, watch the rain falling and it’s very relaxing. I will definitely suggest better cleaning in the bedroom since there’s no ventilation, and it smells musty. The furniture was nice.
