“It is a journey to get here from TX, but it was exactly what we needed. Fresh air, nature, and wildlife abound. We awoke to chipmunks chasing each other and then off to the Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls. It ate up a whole day with hiking and sand. We came back at sunset and saw 2 elk and 20 deer. It was such a great experience.”

“The cabin is lovely and relaxing. It is isolated enough to enjoy the solitude of the land around you without being far from a neighbor. The location was perfect for us who had family staying at different venues from a hotel in Trinidad to camper camping at the creek a couple of miles up the road. Of the different cabin type places to stay - this one is exceptionally lovely. We would definitely stay again.”

I can see from the listing pictures that the owners have changed some furniture (chairs, bed frame) but we loved the layout of the cabin, the furniture is sturdy, taken care of and in good condition.
