Place feels magical. Best cabins I saw around. Many steps so not for mobility impaired. Don’t bring big luggage as u will have to carry it up many flights of stairs.

Amazing views but disappointed
While the views are indeed, amazing and much of the accommodations are unique and tastefully done, the overall property backed a degree of comfort. There was only tepid water for a shower, the toilet seat was unhinged, the bathroom shower door was difficult and the pillows were bulky and uncomfortable. For the price we were quite disappointed.

Die Unterkunft ist eine reine Baustelle! Das Zimmer an sich ist zwar wirklich schön und gut ausgestattet, jedoch befindet sich direkt vor dem Zimmer die Hauptstraße (was auf den Bildern nicht klar erkennbar ist). Man denkt, dass es dort idyllisch ist und man abschalten kann, jedoch ist genau das Gegenteil der Fall. Es fahren laute Fahrzeuge direkt an den Unterkünften vorbei, sodass man davon geweckt wird und tagsüber auch keine Ruhe hat. Lediglich die vorderen Hütten, die aktuell noch im Bau sind, und die Hütten im hinteren Bereich haben einen schönen Ausblick. Dies kommt auf den Bildern so nicht rüber. Ein Spa Bereich ist in dieser ‚Hotelanlage‘ nicht vorhanden. Ansätze davon sind zwar erkennbar, jedoch ist alles völlig verstaubt und verdreckt und nicht nutzbar. Ein sogenannter Wäscheservice wird zwar angeboten, jedoch haben wir die Wäsche 5 Minuten vor unserer Abreise erhalten (obwohl wir einige Male ausdrücklich erwähnt haben, dass wir auschecken und unseren Bus erwischen müssen). Daher hatten wir keine Möglichkeit die Wäsche zu checken - leider war diese noch feucht und ein T-Shirt hat gefehlt. Der Preis, der für diese Unterkunft verlangt wird, ist eine absolute Frechheit und nicht gerechtfertigt. Ruhe und Entspannung sind hier definitiv nicht gegeben!

This unit we stayed was great. The things that we didn't like is that in order to get to our unit we have to go through a restaurant in order to get to our room and the other thing was that the exterior of the unit was not the same one like in the pictures, but the interior were the same. overall I highly recommend this place to everyone

The little corner of the world at the town of San Jose Del Pacifico is a short drive off hwy. 175. The property seems to be one of the nicest in this high mountain area. Helpful staff, a basic clean bed and good shower. The best aspect was a nice attached restaurant and bar area. The food was very good. The primary street is steep and lined with about a dozen small shops. Lots of Tuk Tuks to taxi you up and down the street. It looks like quite a rustic mountain drive to get over to San Mateo Rio Hondo. We just stayed the night at the Alto de la Sierra to breakup our drive from Puerto Escondito to airport in Oaxaca City. Plan worked well as we made it to airport in a three hours.
