We had a great stay at Ocean's Edge 1A. The condo actually looks better than the pictures. It is very clean, beautifully decorated, and well maintained. There was someone from the management company there almost every day raking the beach area and cleaning the pool. Communication with management company was easy and Ester (the host) was very helpful with providing weather updates and recommendations for places to eat, etc. The only downside to the property is that it is about 20 minutes from town and the roads are a little rough. However, we loved the quite atmosphere.

The property was excellant!! Ms. Ester was very helpful with anything we needed from transportation to booking excursions. Gene the maintenace guy was very friendly and helpful as well. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a wonderful vacation spot!! We hope to return!

Excellent condo south of San Pedro

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Ocean’s Edge. Kids loved the beach and pool. Ester was amazing at scheduling excursions and making sure we had what we needed. Getting into town does take some effort but worth the trip every time. Condo had everything we needed for the 6 day stay.

We loved our 7 night stay here! Quiet, yet close enough to anything.

The place was exactly as described in the listing. Ester with Pelican Mgmt was amazing in organizing an excursion that we had our hearts set on. Do the Yolo snorkel at Hol Chan, you can thank me later!I also loved the filtered water provided.

Best place to stay in Belize

The property management was excellent. Went over the top to accommodate all six of us. Unit was perfect and beautiful. Everything we needed was there or provided if asked. Spent 10 days and wished it was longer. Will definitely be back. Make sure you rent golf cart for entire stay.

Oceans Edge 1A

All of the reviews about the beauty of the condo and how amazing Ester is are correct so I'll try to touch on a couple of other things. The washer and dryer are full size and do a great job. The deck is very large and in the shade most of the day. Maya air gets really crowded on Saturday late afternoon/evening so I would recommend if you are flying into the island, try to come in on a different day to avoid delays. Tropic Air also flys into the island. I would absolutely stay on the south end of the island again. It was quiet. There was a grocery store close by and a fresh fruit/vegetable stand right down the street. There were plenty of restaurants. Our favorite was the Black Orchid. On our arrival day, we ate at Stax which is directly across the street from the condo. We were exhausted from the full day of travel and they have good food and service. The beach at the condo is very nice. There is a short sea wall in front of the condos so if you want to swim, you have to go down the ladder at the end of the dock. The water at the condo was not beautiful like Secret Beach or where we went snorkeling. One day , we hired a taxi to go to Secret Beach. It was an hour ride but so worth it. We got there around 10am and had our pick of chairs in the shade. We watched the sunset which was so beautiful and then headed home. It got really busy starting at 11. It takes much longer and is much bumpier via golf cart.

This condo was beautiful, very spacious for six of us, and comfortable. We loved the large kitchen and dining areas but especially loved the deck and view! We enjoyed fishing off the pier and the complimentary kayaks were great! It was quiet and peaceful, but just a short drive to many good restaurants.

Fishing and snorkeling paradise

Ester is the best property manager that I have encountered for a Vrbo. We have stayed all over the world using this and she was phenomenal! The condo is better than the pictures and very well equipped. We enjoyed the location as we were further from the main town but it was much more quiet! Just be ready for a bumpy golf cart ride into town. We loved having a dock directly in front of Hol Chan national park for the best snorkeling and fishing areas. Additionally we enjoyed the outdoor facilities and the employees that help out with the kayaks and standup paddles boards. Everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout the trip! I highly recommend booking all excursions with Ester since she knows the local guides and how to get the really good ones!

Friends Getaway

AWESOME!!!! The Pelican Reef team is top notch. From check in to check out and everything in between, just an amazing experience. This unit is perfect for 3 couples. It’s furnished with everything you will need. The moment you walk in, you feel completely relaxed and in vacation mode. Walking out to the dock with coffee in the morning or an adult beverage in the afternoon was just spectacular. I would absolutely recommend it and hope to return. Best trip we’ve taken in a long time.

Perfect vacation accommodations

When planning, I googled and found our condo on VRBO. Its called Ocean's Edge Unit 1A and it's about a 25-30 minute ride from the condo to the downtown area by way of golf cart - pretty far out of town.The 3 bed, 4 bathroom condo we stayed in was spectacular.... definitely way better than we expected - photos didn't do it justice...very well appointed with all the amenities you'd expect from a really nice VRBO...actually way more than any VRBO we've ever stayed in. The concierge, Ester, helped us with all of our Mayan Air flights, excursion plans and answered all of our questions, from what should we bring, what will be provided, and how will we do "X". She was very prompt and her answer was always "I'll take care of that".Austin, the groundskeeper was equally helpful and knowledgeable. Called us all by name, remembered our preferences, etc....just outstanding! I'm sure if it was left up to me, we'd have had some sort of mess to sort out, but with their help, everything was as smooth as butter! From the condo, we fished, paddle-boarded, kayaked, swam in the pool. Our son caught dozens of fish from the pier, including a Permit, a Bonefish and a snapper. He was a very happy fisherman! The staff is top-notch!

Amazing property!!!

We were late arriving, so the check in was a little bit confusing, but everything worked out perfectly. We are the only ones staying on this property and when we walked in, we were absolutely floored with the spaciousness the completeness of the kitchen equipment, play toys, books, fishing rods, everything. The beds were super comfortable the showers and bathrooms spectacular. There was nothing about this property that I could complain about. We were more than happy. Esther helped us. Our security guy was friendly, made us feel safe, even though we were never felt unsafe. The grounds were immaculate! There were kayaks to use, hammocks to sleep in, and an outdoor porch. The pool was amazing !Our stay was wonderful.

Perfect Condo for us!

The condo was perfect for our group of 6. Very clean, with a beautiful view. Ester the property manager and her crew were the absolute best we have had on our vacations! They responded with our questions and needs very quickly. Ester will set up any excursions, dinner reservations or pretty much anything else you want. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time in Belize. Ester was an amazing property manager/host. She got us a golf cart and would basically do anything for us. If you are looking to be off the beaten path this is the place for you. You can get to downtown in about 20 min in your golf cart. The place we stayed at was wonderful. Spacious and beautiful. The beds were super comfy too.

Great Condo

Beautiful condo - fully and comfortably furnished. It was great to have 3 king suites for 3 adult couples, separate TVs AC controls in every room. Host Ester was EXCELLENT - arranged all our transport and snorkeling tours, helped us to find a lost cell phone, etc. etc. etc. really went out of her way to ensure all of our needs were accommodated.

This place was awesome.

We had a great time here. We are a large family, 4 kids, parents and aunt stayed super comfortably! Let ester help you get to the rental - she is awesome and seems to only want you to have a great stay. Having room service mid stay was a nice surprise. My wife got a massage (right on property) and she said it was one of the best massages she has ever had and she gets lots of massages. Staxs across the street was just like having an awesome hotel bar - just walk over, got dinner one night and drinks. Just an awesome stay all around.
