To begin, the location is incredible. Hard to beat. True ski in ski out. However, Vacasa is where this all turns sour. The policy regarding what they provide (starter kit) makes no sense given the size of house and group. To provide 2 portions of dishwasher detergents for a 10 person home with a 4 night stay and refuse any additional is subpar. The overall lack of care in cleaning was quite noticeable. Dust covered many surfaces, 2 pairs of adult underwear were found in the kid’s room. The water filter in the refrigerator had a big red warning that it had been expired for 3 years! Very concerning given the water quality warning in the owner binder we found. Then, the true lack of care could be found in the 7 lightbulbs that were out in the house. After they dropped off lightbulbs for us to do the work of replacing, we changed 6 but couldn’t access the 7th without a ladder. I can only assume the owner is unaware of these issues because as a family who has rented homes of our own, we would never allow this. Vacasa made it clear that they will do the bare minimum. We will avoid them going forward.
