We enjoyed our stay in Sandwich, it was our first time to the sleepy little town. The house was as advertised. Beautiful kitchen, well stocked. The beds (one queen, two full) were firm but comfortable. We did bring our own linens and towels. The shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Walkable to the beach, which was key for us. Beach access is either next to Treehouse Brewing (another plus for us!) but the beach there is all rocks, or on the other side of the neighborhood at Town Neck Beach. This beach has the boardwalk over the marsh, which is beautiful, and a beach made up of lots of broken shells. Still plenty of room to enjoy the beach, especially at low tide. We had local dinners at the Burger Bar and Fisherman’s View, we highly recommend both! We also visited Heritage Museum & Gardens, thats a must do in the area.
The recommendations we have to improve future stays would be new pillows (or bring your own), the pillows provided are extremely thin. Little nightstands in the queen bedroom would be very helpful as well. Our main issue during our stay was the ants. They are clearly a known problem, as there are dozens of traps placed around the kitchen/dining area. However, it doesn’t seem to be helping. They were everywhere - on the counters, on the couches upstairs, even in our beds! I’d rather not mark the whole stay with less stars because it is a great place, otherwise clean, and a great location, but please get that taken care of!
