WELCOME TO IRON MOUNTAIN LODGE!



Arrive through the private gate, follow the winding driveway through the trees, and settle into a mountain retreat unlike anything else on Mt. Hood.



Set on 11 acres in the foothills of Mt. Hood, Iron Mountain pairs the feeling of a secluded forest escape with the comfort and sophistication of a thoughtfully designed home. Mountain and forest views surround the property, while beautifully maintained grounds, natural woodland, and a seasonal creek invite you to slow down and explore.



The setting feels wonderfully private without being remote. No neighboring homes are visible from the house or most of the property, yet Welches is just minutes away, downtown Sandy is approximately 15 minutes away, and Government Camp is about 20 minutes away.



A HOME DESIGNED FOR GATHERING



The heart of Iron Mountain is its vaulted great room, where soaring ceilings, expansive windows, and mountain views create a dramatic backdrop for everyday moments. Sink into the oversized sofa beside the fireplace, settle in for a movie, or gather around and play games, which are stored in the secretary desk.



The home was designed with families and groups in mind, offering spaces to come together and spaces to escape for a little quiet.



The beautifully appointed kitchen is spacious and exceptionally well equipped, with generous counter space, bar seating, a large pantry, two refrigerators, and a dedicated coffee bar. Gather around the dining table for six, enjoy a casual breakfast at the four-person nook, or take your coffee outside and let the forest set the pace for the morning.



For families, thoughtful touches are everywhere. From the children’s play kitchen and dedicated play area with kids table and toys, to the portable high chair, kids dishes, playpen, extra linens, and air mattresses.



FOUR BEDROOMS + LOFT



The main-floor primary suite is a peaceful retreat of its own, with a king bed, TV, walk-in closet, and private en-suite bath. The soaking tub sits beside a picture window overlooking the forest, creating one of the home’s most beautiful places to unwind. Step outside onto your private deck, where a porch swing and comfortable seating offer another quiet corner among the trees.



Upstairs, a second king suite features its own en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a shower, soaking tub, and beautiful mountain and forest views.



The third bedroom is designed with younger guests in mind, featuring a double-over-single bunk with trundle, folding sleeper sofa, wooden train set, and children’s teepee. The fourth bedroom offers two single beds and lovely forest views, while the open loft provides two additional folding sleeping chairs.



With flexible sleeping options throughout the home, Iron Mountain comfortably accommodates families and groups while giving everyone room to settle in. The home has Starlink wifi, with great connection.



GATHER OUTSIDE



Outdoor living is just as inviting as the interior.



The main deck offers comfortable seating, a gas BBQ, and a fire table overlooking the property. The wraparound porch creates even more space to relax and take in the scenery, while the private primary-bedroom deck offers a peaceful spot to enjoy the trees from the porch swing.



Below the home, a covered outdoor area surrounds the four-person hot tub and picnic table. An especially inviting place to unwind after a day on the mountain.



For evenings under the stars, gather around the wood-burning fire pit on rustic stump seating. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and let the quiet of the forest become part of the evening.



The 11-acre property offers a manicured lawn for easy walks as well as natural forest to explore, with access to the seasonal creek and fruit trees throughout the grounds. A basketball hoop and ample private parking round out the outdoor experience. A fenced dog run is available for four-legged guests. The forested areas of the property are not fully fenced.



PLAY, RELAX, REPEAT



When the weather calls for everyone to stay indoors, head downstairs to the game room. Arcade games, pool, shuffleboard, foosball, and wall-mounted Connect Four turn this space into its own fun destination.



Somewhere around Iron Mountain, you may encounter Kash and Lola, our resident Bigfoots! They're our unofficial guardians of the mountain. Welches, with restaurants and shopping, is only a few minutes away. Downtown Sandy is approximately 15 minutes away for larger shopping and town amenities, while Government Camp and the heart of Mt. Hood’s mountain recreation are about 20 minutes from the house.
