Amazing location
This house was exactly what we expected. The location on the canal was perfect, with frequent signing of manatee and dolphins right in front of the home. We were able to ride our bikes to the shell harbour's beach on the ocean as well as the lighthouse beach. The island is very bike friendly, with a dedicated bike/walking path along the main road. While we were there we rented a boat and kept it docked in front of the house which was very convenient.
We stayed in the home for a month and I was worried about sleeping in another bed for that long. No need to worry, both the king size beds were very comfortable. The trundle bed and the extra twin in the den however was not very comfortable. We only used this for 2 nights, I think we would have preferred a blow up in the den.
The kitchen had everything we needed for all the meals we prepared and the grill outside was used frequently. The appliances were a little dated but functional. I loved being able to eat dinner outside in the screened in porch while watching for animals and boats going by. We had waterfront dining every night! Also having a private pool was great for playing with the grandkids.
Sharon at Cottages to Castles was very responsive during our stay. She kept us updated on deliveries, as new furniture was delivered.
Overall we were delighted with this home and would definitely stay here again
