Upon arrival to the property we had difficulty in getting the door opened so I called the number provided in the numerous emails I received. It went straight to voicemail and was unable to leave a message bc the mailbox was full. I called the after hours number which went to security of the property who were responsive and the guard commented the property management company was having “personnel issues”.When we walked in there was a very strong odor that smelled like fish and it was 80 degrees so the AC had not been turned on.In looking through the place the towels were 20 plus years old but the biggest issue was lack of cleanliness. We had just arrived from an 8 hour trip so needed to use the restroom and when I lifted the toilet lid there were pee stains and what appeared to be a skid mark on the toilet seat. I immediately was in contact with the property management company who assured me someone had inspected the property that day which was not possible given the condition. A manager called me and said he would send someone over. I advised that we were immediately forced to leave the property given the condition. Later that evening he did advise that the property had been cleaned, linens changed and new towels provided. He also advised he would be issuing a credit after reviewing my account. Through a text message exchange he did tell me the amount of credit which I did not feel was sufficient and have followed up with him three separate times with no response.
