Great Gulf VBRO

Perfect for 8 adults and 2 children(3 and 1.5yrs). Spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved the golf car and easy access to the beaches. Host was easily reached when needed and resolved a few issues quickly.( ie; lost internet, one burner on grill did not work and king bed frame broke). Owner sent his handyman and all was fixed with in hours. Enjoyed our stay very much. Would love to go back!

Fall break

The house was great except for a couple of problems!! The dishwasher didn’t work properly and the tile floor in the master bathroom downstairs was coming up !! The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed and had plenty of towels to use !! I recommend this house if they fix the problems!!

Amazing beach house

This listing was as advertised if not better. I stayed with a group of 6 women. We all had our own space, clean, spacious and relaxing. The beds were really comfortable and reliable AC. The golf cart really made the trip, just a quick ride to the beach and back. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. As other reviews indicated, it is a blank slate. No basics in the kitchen like salt, pepper, oil etc. no left over beach chairs or rafts. So bring what you need.

Nice house, Busy location with Construction

I recently stayed at a beach house for a vacation, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few issues that impacted my stay. One of the main problems was the WiFi connection at the beach house. The signal was weak and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected and use the internet. This was particularly frustrating as I needed to work remotely during my stay. Another downside of the beach house stay was the crowded public beaches. Due to the popularity of the area, the beaches were often overcrowded, especially during peak hours. Finding a spot to relax and enjoy the beach became a challenge, and the noise from the crowds made it difficult to fully unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the beach. The beach house itself was comfortable and well-maintained. The amenities provided were satisfactory, and the location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and shops.

Wonderful Summer Escape

Our family had a wonderful time at this property and overall location in Dune Allen. We had plenty of space and loved the proximity to the beach and the community pool. Beds were very comfortable and the property is clearly new and well designed. The golf cart was a really nice extra that facilitated trips to the beach and local restaurants. There a couple of complaints that do not overshadow the rating of the house and our experience, but thought worth mentioning. 1. We got an offer to check in early (the day before) for a discounted rate, presumably since the house wasn't rented. That was not feasible with our flight but when I asked about early check-in the day-of (for a fee) the response was a pretty cold "no" and a reminder about the 4pm check-in policy, followed by multiple additional reminders about the 4pm check-in policy and "we hope you understand the rules". It feels like we could be a little more accommodating here if there is not a prior tenant. 2. The floors were dirty enough that our 5yo commented on how dirty they were on his feet. This was immediately upon check-in and not after any in-and-out tracking. 3. The whole neighborhood is under construction. Great to stay in a new home. There was no off-hours disruption. Just might have wanted a heads-up. 4. There is nearly nothing in the house in the way of kitchen consumables. Sometimes there will be basics such as cooking oil and seasonings, coffee filters, etc. We made do.

Lovely trip

This home is spacious and in a great location. Big plus is the home is pet friendly and golf cart is included. We had horrible weather so having access to our Netflix would have been nice. Also listing says beach chairs are included, however there was one in poor condition and another one that was completely broken. We didn’t bring chairs b/c listing said they were provided. Overall great home. We would stay again!

Let’s start with the house by itself. It’s nothing to bat your eye at. It was sufficient as a landing place after a days of activities. The kitchen layout is a little funky and makes it hard to cook and serve “9” people. There isn’t much counter space. But the problems mostly arose around the management company, MyVacationHaven. To be clear, they were very responsive and communicated well. We also didn’t bring every issue to their attention, but they missed the mark in many areas that other VrBO’s have knocked it our of the park. For example, they have a coffee maker, but no coffee filters. There is no mention of what type of coffee pot it is. It’s unreasonable for someone to bring 3 different coffee filters. There were no back up trash bags besides the 2 that were in the trash can. 9 people can fill that in 1 day. The AC upstairs struggled to keep up with the humidity outside. The management company tells you to only use their soap in the dishwasher and washing machine, however they only provided 2 tabs for each. Once again, 9 people can go through dishes to and laundry pretty quickly. Overall, it works for the location. It’s close to the beach and the golf cart is useful. In my opinion it is overpriced for all of the stipulations MVH put on it. The place was decent, not terrible, not amazing. After some family discussions, we would probably not stay at this location again.

Perfect location; 6-seater golf cart included

*Excellent location in proximity to the public beach access. Bathrooms at the beach access by Stinky’s restaurant were air conditioned and extremely clean & spacious. *6-seat golf cart included with rental, which was definitely necessary getting around the neighborhood and 30A with ease. Pool must be accessed by walking around the street, which was fine. While there was construction around the neighborhood it was a non-issue for us. No noise or issues. *It’s pet-friendly which was a huge plus for us to bring our 5# schnoodle. She loved the golf cart rides as well. The house was super clean & had nice extra touches in the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry with soaps, lotions, shampoos, linen spray, etc. Outdoor shower was nice to rinse off before heading inside. *Basic beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie board & beach toys were available & neatly stored outside under the back stairs. *Only suggestion would be to allow guests to access the house prior to 4pm if it is available earlier. House was ready when we arrived in the area at 2:30 but we couldn’t access it until 4. We did have an issue with the upstairs being very hot the first night we arrived. It felt like the ac stopped working both upstairs and downstairs from 7:30-11pm, as the thermostat continued to rise. No one was able to come check it until midday the second day, but lowering the ac before guests arrive would resolve this ahead of time. stairs. *Highly recommend this property & My Vacation Haven!!! ;)

Great Stay!

House is beautiful! The access to golf cart was wonderful and extremely helpful getting family to and from the beach. The house doesn’t provide any beach towels so make sure you bring your own or there is a Walmart less than three miles away, you can stop there for anything extra you might need (coffee 😉). The description for this place was pretty accurate though. My family and I had a great time!

Great stay close to the beach

We were very happy with the house and amenities it had. The location to the public beach access was great and having the provided golf cart was perfect! If I had to say any drawback it would be that there is a lot of construction happening in the neighborhood so a lot of work trucks coming and going, but the upside to that is the house is very new and feels really clean!

Cute house behind Stinkys Fish Camp

We had a great time staying in the Serenity neighborhood. It was a quiet location and the beach house was very well appointed. It had a master on the main which was perfect for my father in law & another master bedroom upstairs. The house was very new & very clean. It came with a golf cart which we didn’t end up using. Beach access is just down at the end of the street along with Stinkys Fish Camp. Great Bloody Mary’s and fish tacos!
