Great Place!

This was a great place to stay. Everything went smoothly from booking to checkout. Any questions we had were answered. The private beach is spectacular! Wonderful experience overall!

This is a perfect spot!! So close to the ocean and very quiet. We would love to stay here again! The only surprise was that we could not use personal small beach chairs for our 6 teens/kids. The good news is the sets are very affordable so we just ended up renting more . Maybe consider offering 2 umbrellas and sets of chairs to accommodate larger parties. Other than that it was amazing!!!

Hidden Gem

I’m hesitant to write a review because I want to keep Sugar Dunes a secret! We loved being just steps away from the sand. There are only 24 sets of chairs set up along the beach property line so there was ample space - unlike other high rise condos that have rows and rows of beach chairs. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

The Smell

We have stayed about 14 times in various Sugar Dunes condos over the past ten years. We have stayed on all three floors. The condos are well designed and perfect for three couples with large open living and kitchen areas. The problem with this property was the overwhelming smell, musty, moldy smell throughout the entire condo. We arrived one night before the other two couples checked in. I will give the rental agent/realtor credit, he brought over two fans and a dehumidifier that we ran throughout our stay. The smell somewhat dominated, but never disappeared. The agent, the owner, and anyone else that was responsible for the condo had to know there was a major smell or mold problem. Why? Well there were 9 DampRid canisters stuffed into every closet, bathroom vanities, and kitchen cabinets. There was another dehumidifier in the laundry area, there were scented smell canisters in closets and sitting on the bedroom side tables. We ran the bathroom exhaust fans 24/7 opening bedroom windows to rid the condo of the smell. Why did we stay? We have friends that own one of the condos and we wanted to enjoy their company. The mitigating efforts we did helped relive some of the smell, I honestly believe this condo has a mold issue that must be addressed. The condo next door was in the process of removing and replacing most of its drywall. Maybe due to mold, I do not know. This condo should not have been rented and I warn others not to rent this condo. Condo 15

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Six of us (adults) stayed in this wonderful condo. It is right on the beach with plenty of room. The private beach was not too busy while we were there and the location was great. It is very close to Seaside, which is a fun place to check out. There is a Publix and Walmart close by that deliver groceries. The unit has many beds which would be great if you have a couple families or children. It is a little dated but that was a minor thing for us. There was only enough seating for 6 people in the living room (luckily that's all we had). They have additional beach chairs and beach toys that were made available, which was a nice surprise! Overall, we all enjoyed the stay and would stay here again!
