This was our 2nd stay at this property, and it does provide a great home base for our family Spring Break trip to 30A.We appreciate that the location is a bit off of the beaten path, so it is a bit quieter than other spots around 30A. Only down side is that the home is beginning to show its age a bit and could use some more TLC.We had some minor annoyances during our trip: on 1st night we had to call maintenance bc the toilet in the upstairs bath was leaking onto the floor. They did send someone that evening to fix it. Unfortunately, we also realized that night that one of the sinks in the same bathroom was completely clogged and would not drain. We put off reporting it bc we didn’t want to bother with home repairs while on vacation, but just an example of some of the small items that started adding up. The home also provides a gas grill and propane fire pit for the upstairs patio. Unfortunately, all 3 propane tanks on-site were empty, so I had to take a trip to swap a tank at my own expense. Would have been nice to arrive and not have to worry about the propane. Finally, it would be nice if the owners would consider providing a few beach amenities such as beach chairs, sand toys, etc. It would also be great to have a simple kayak or small paddle boat available for use so that you can enjoy the lake that the property sits on!All in all, its a great property, but there were some things that we wanted others to be aware of before their stay! Would rent again.
