The house is super cute, and the location couldn’t be much better. Very close to walk to the beach with easy access, and also to walk to the Seaside town square with the main shops and eating places. The property managers were great and easy to work with. We would definitely stay again, just for the location.
The house itself is charming especially the front room which you can see from the pictures. The porch was set up perfect to sit outside. The 2 downstairs bedrooms and 1 2nd floor bedroom are fine. Bathrooms aren’t huge, but there’s a high capacity tankless water heater so no problem competing for hot showers. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water which was fantastic to rinse off with after the beach. The downstairs bathrooms could use a little TLC, as there was mold visible in some places and one could definitely use new caulking. Sometimes the toilettes had issues flushing, but never bad enough to call the property managers. A little bit of work on the bathrooms by the owners could go a long way.
The kitchen was small, but had plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. Also about 10 corkscrews, lol. Good for cooking light meals.
The property listing could use a better description of “the loft”, which is up very steep stairs (more like a ladder) on a 3rd floor level. It isn’t air conditioned, but with the A/C set cold on the 2nd floor and the fans in the loft running, it was pretty comfortable. There are 2 bunks (4 beds total) with chairs and a TV, and windows on all walls. Not great for sleeping adults, but our 3 kids (7, 10,13) LOVED it. It was like their own private kids room, with everything they wanted.
Overall, if you tried to push to the sleeping capacity of the house it could feel really crowded. Great house if you have kids that can climb into the loft. The house is set up great to enjoy the beach and all Seaside has to offer. Location, location, location.
