“Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. The best part is the hot shower which is so much better compared to other equally expensive hotels we stayed across India. You can take a really comfortable shower without worrying about the hot water running out in the middle...

“Its a beautiful, nostalgic throwback to a colonial India hillstation. Darjeeling is wonderful and this hotel has memories, from the posters and photis on the walls, of life back when. I stayed in the Tenzing Norgay block, with old somewhat faded photos of the great man along every inch of corridor. But not everything works...some of the lights, the bedsheets dont fit, the towels are worn. None of that distracted me from the historic atmosphere of old time luxury. The afternoon tea was...

Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. “The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill.”

“Room too cold. Cant be adequately heated. Staff refused to give 2nd key to keep heater on . Cockroaches in dining area/table. Staff ignored when cockroaches were pointed out. ”
