This was our first time staying at this condo and at Lido Beach - it was a fantastic week. The condo was perfect for the two of us - well-equipped, cozy, full kitchen, great bed, a small outdoor sitting area to soak up sun, and beach chairs to take to gorgeous Lido Beach, only a block away. The beach front itself is occupied by upscale resorts and high-rise apartments, but the beach wasn't crowded - beautiful wide white sand leading to calm gulf waters, with beautiful sunsets. The whole area was peaceful and prosperous - all of Lido Key, St. Armand's Key (where you come onto these Sarasota keys from the mainland), and Longboat Key to the north. Famous St. Armand's Circle is less than 1/2 mile from the condo, with busy shops and top-notch restaurants - an easy walk. We rented bikes there to ride the lovely neighborhood. 3 blocks south from the condo is Ted Sperling Nature Park, an impressive natural area of palm, Sea Grape, and mangrove with its own beach and kayaks for rent to paddle amazing channels through the mangrove and see herons, egrets, pelicans, and jumping fish. While most of the restaurants are in St. Armand's, the Lido Beach Resort (just a block from the condo) had an outstanding restaurant - "Drift" - and a coffee and breakfast bar off the lobby. A block away there's a public pavilion with sandwiches, a bar, a pool (closed in winter) and direct access to the beach. We had a such a great time, we didn't go back to the mainland all week. Recommended.
