“We loved our stay here. They are in the middle of renovations and we paid for a cheaper room that hadn't been renovated fully yet. We were a little worried it would be grotty or quite dated since the pictures on the website for those rooms weren't great, but the rooms were actually pretty nice. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are amazing with breathtaking views. The restaurant is great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. “The best part of the hotel was the outside,and the entrance hall and staircase.Unfortunately the rest of the hotel was very down market. The whole place needs a refurbishment ! Our room was disgusting in the bathroom there was glue ? ( not sure what is was ) on the bottom of two rows of tiles dirt stuck to it .chopped paint every where needed painting . “This is a lovely hotel full of character. Yes it looks a little scruffy on the outside but the inside is good. Every member of staff was pleasant & helpful especially on the front desk for checking in & out.
