“The cabin was clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet place in the woods away from everything else in a corner of Mt Desert Island, this is for you. There is nothing nearby - no restaurants or shops -- but the deck on the top floor looking out to the woods is relaxing and the great room very much so as well. But if what you want is the bustle and vibrancy of Bar Harbor, or even the quieter stroll through Southwest Harbor, this place is far from that.”

“Excellent house, very spacious and clean. A few constructive criticism comments would make the stay perfect! we didn’t get checkin instructions so had to sit in driveway for 30 min calling and texting the homeowners to get code. The basement had a very strong chemical smell (recently cleaned carpets?) so we didn’t use the Bsmt bedrooms. No garbage bags or toilet paper but they dropped some off after requesting. Beds comfortable. Coffee maker broken. The main bathroom window needs a shade or...

“PERFECTION, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This house was the absolute perfect spot for visiting Acadia and the Bar Harbor area! SW Harbor is quaint & quiet, with really great restaurants - all very walkable from the house. And then there's the house itself - from its own parking area to the homey beautifully curated decor to the functional separate wings of the house to the super fun finished basement lounge - and I could go on!!! On top of all that, the host's communication is clear, thorough, and rapid....
