“The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped...

“The Cromwell is owned by kids who were gifted the property by their parents. Out of a 7500 mile road trip. This was by far the cleanest the nicest kept grounds inside and out. Everything looked brand new and still maintaining some charm from their parents era. I made it a point to go to the office and tell the staff only need to be lucky enough to meet two of the kids! “The property was in good repair on the outside. The exterior doors are thin beat up wood. The check in process was not welcoming and we were not told where ice or other items were at. Our rooms were cleaned daily and had fresh towels brought in. Overall it was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable.”

“Our hosts - Matt and Kristi -were awesome. Very friendly, helpful with advice regarding Bar Harbor and Acadia. The Inn is beautiful -with an awesome view and easy access to downtown Bar Harbor - and very close to Acadia National Park. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend the Saltair Inn to all travelers.”

“This is a wonderful refurbished and appropriately updated motor motel. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The amenities such as free drinks and snacks available throughout the day hit the spot. The location to Acadia and Bar Harbor was perfect. I was able to ride my bike everywhere and enjoy all of the main park, Bar Harbor and Schoodic Pennisula (via ferry) without driving my car.
