Very comfortable beachy house which was suitable for toddlers. The location was convenient and there is a pocket park with a playground like a block away. We had a great stay.

Great overall, but …

Checkin was convenient and easy.House centrally located and close to the beach. The listing states there were 3 bedrooms but the third “bedroom” is an office with an uncomfortable pullout couch bed that had dirty sheets. We had to wash the bedding before use. The neighborhood is currently under construction but was only heard on the weekdays. Overall it was a really nice place that was comfortable with a really large kitchen and lounge area.

Great place to stay at

Really enjoyed our time in this house. We stayed in a few different properties on this trip and this one was by far the best! Plenty of space for 6 people, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms and very clean. It's on a dead end street, so very quiet.

Nice spot for laguna seca events

House was clean and quiet. Kitchen and master are on the second floor, which was a bit odd, but worked fine. As others have noted, there is no AC. Upon arrival, the house was a bit warm at 78 but cooled off with all the windows open before getting to bed. Only other peculiarity was the labeling of kitchen inventory on every shelf, which happened to be incorrect on almost every shelf. If it says 11 glasses and there only 10, makes me worried I may be charged for a pre-existing problem. Update them regularly or remove them. Otherwise, the property is very close to costco and downtown seaside, and about 15min to track parking which was great for us.

Not as nice as it seems

There’s no air-conditioning and the owner has the thermostat set and will not adjust it so the heater comes on at night if you leave the windows open. In addition there are no window coverings in the master bathrooms so you’re fully exposed while you’re on the bathroom going poop so you have to do it in the dark so no one sees you. It’s quite awkward. I contacted the property manager several times to help get things fixed, but either the owner was not willing to fix the thermostat or they just stop communicating all together.

Great Stay

Our first impression was that it was so clean. Great house for 3 adults, we attended the Carmel Bach festival and loved the rental house. One suggestion would be to instal a window covering in the main bedrooms water closet. Neighbors are very close. We look forward to renting this house again.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful and in easy driving distance to the places we wanted to see. Our 3 year old grandson loved the house. The house is well equipped for visitors. When the pullout bed was opened in the third bedroom it is difficult to get to the closet. This was it a problem for the younger person assigned to that bedroom.

A few days in Monterey

We had a lovely time at the Sandcastle. The kitchen was fabulously appointed so we could have a few family meals at leisure and then watch movies in the living room all together. The sea breeze was a delight and house as a whole is just beautiful. Would absolutely stay there again.

Comforts of Home

Staying at the sandcastle was a very lovely experience. The small differences had a great impact on the comfort of our stay - mostly that the places most rentals find to save a nickel were not the case here: kitchen ware you would use in your own kitchen; paper/bath/cleaning products that are effective; fresh linens in ample supply. The location was a great for our sight-seeing base and the home was clean and well appointed. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Stay In Sand City

We stayed at this beautiful home in Sand City. The pictures are great but the house in person is even better. Communication was great. Easy to check in. The house is beautifully decorated and yet very homey as well. We had everything we could have possibly wanted or needed and more. Location was great. Easy to get to many different places of interest. We highly recommend this house!

Spacious and cozy!

The house was beautiful. Well maintained and very clean and comfortable. It is advertised as a three bedroom, but the third bedroom is a pullout couch and looks like more of an office. The kitchen is fully stocked and everything is in great condition. Michelle, the property manager, was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again!!! Thank you! Michele
