“The host was unavailable for communication and while vrbo received and confirmed our stay I don't know what happened on the host's side, but long story short, vrbo made good on the situation the following morning after we couldn't check in or reach the host and ended up staying at a local hotel instead. I don’t expect constant communication, but it would’ve been helpful to hear back more quickly—especially since the A/C didn’t work properly for the first few nights.
