Great cabin with beautiful views! We booked this cabin for New Year's for our family of 4. My son is obsessed with Pacman, so having a Pacman game there was great! We met the New Year's eve in the hot tub watching fireworks, it was great!

We loved the area. The views were great and it was easy to get around. The hottub was great. However with how much we paid for the stay we were very disappointed in the following. Internet did not work the entire stay, i had to use the hotspot on my phone to watch tv. The beds were very uncomfortable and worn, the grill was loose, wobbly and way to close to the ground. Host was slow to respond. The games were missing some pieces as well. And part of the flooring in the kitchen was sticking up.

Overall pleased with our stay. Small hiccup when arriving accessing the cabin, response was quick from owner. Would like to visit again when the fireplaces are functioning for the season; same for the waterfall next to the jacuzzi tub. Best part was the view and being at the very top of the mountain. Most everything is pretty close by. We had no idea our stay was during Rod Run, but honestly traffic and tourism was not as bad as we expected. We loved our stay!

The Cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The views were spectacular! It was suited with everything we needed. It was an easy drive to both Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg! The wrap around porch was so nice to see the views from every angel. A great place to stay! Definitely recommended!

This cabin was perfect for me and my son and the views were fabulous. He loved the arcade and we played several rounds of foosball! Wi-Fi is definitely moody but we weren’t there for electronics so we didn’t mind. Kitchen had everything we need and the bed was really comfy. We will come stay again for sure!

Birthday Get Away

I booked this Cabin for a a gift and to have a break from Florida. I saw other reviews where people said the cabin wasn’t what they expected. I don’t know what more you can expect. It was a beautiful cabin and everything we expected. If you’re not used to the roads in Tennessee the road up to the cabin might be a little scary. This cabin had everything you could possibly need in it for a week stay. If you’re looking for isolation and a beautiful Mountain View this is the one for you. I think the host did an amazing job and I would rent again. The view was breathtaking and the host was easy to communicate with. They installed a new hot tub in the middle of our trip and kept us informed through out everything. Amazing experience!

I thought it would be a little more luxurious… it was nice and clean for sure and definitely in nature! But the bathtub jets didn’t work very well… the hot tub was nearly empty and the towels etc were not soft! It is further out than I thought

Perfect mountain getaway

Great deck, awesome view, everything works, everything is labeled, good water pressure, ac/heat works, good parking, 20 mins to Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge If you want to use hot tub make sure you turn it on right when you get there it takes about 6 hours to fully heat up

A Great Place for Family

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. The drive up was scary if youre not used to driving in mountains but after doing it once it wasnt bad at all! The home was just as nice as the pictures portrayed and the view was amazing. My only complaints would be that the bed was a bit uncomfy, there was some slippery stuff on the shower floor, and the internet went out a lot but nothing that would keep me from booking again! We had our 2.5 year old with us and she loved it as well. Its very cozy so she felt right at home. Overall I highly recommend booking this for a vacation!

Great Stay at the Modern Elk

Great little cabin with an easy drive to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Loved that the cabin was single story which was important for us traveling with toddlers. The cabin had everything we needed and had beautiful views. The owners were very responsive and helpful. They provided some restaurant recommendations which were great!
