Unfortunately our visit was overshadowed by lack of hot water in the cabin. From the start we had issues with the hot water. We could never enjoy the indoor jacuzzi. The cabin’s hot water tank isn’t adequate. We couldn’t even get the water to stay hot to fill up to the jets. Then it’d take about 45 mins to reheat. That was very disappointing. Then the hot water heater went out and we had NO hot water for over 24 hours. Maintenance discovered that the breaker was OFF. The owners said someone “maliciously turned off the breaker and they were investigating it”. I have no idea where they got that from. Why would someone come to just their cabin to turn off just that breaker switch?? They have a camera by the front door and that didn’t help. Side note - this was our first time staying in a cabin where the owners can watch you coming and going. I understand things go wrong but what was most disappointing was they weren’t very apologetic and offered no compensation for the lack of hot water. Near the end of stay, I asked if they were offering any compensation. They said the investigation was pending and to date we’ve never heard back from them. We might consider staying here again because the view is great, if hot water issues were solved, but will not because the master bed is too firm/hard. Lastly, while the cabin was very clean, it’s annoying that the owners literally have lock boxes on the thermostats. You have to contact them to adjust temps. They’ll adjust but still a pain.
