Nice location. Please be aware the roads are very small and narrow getting to the house. The house was very nice and very clean. The windows on the front of the house are nice but in the hotter months it causes the living room to really heat up. Be aware that the thermostat, for whatever reason, sets itself to 74 in the middle of the day. It’s hard to cool that room down once it gets warm. The host responds very quickly. We enjoyed our stay. The mattresses in the beds upstairs are quite uncomfortable and lumpy. I ended up on the couch it was much more comfortable. Also, there are no spices, salt or pepper. Make sure to bring your own! And there are a ton of steps!

Uno Bear Chalet

Home was in good condition. Loved the deck and the natural light from all the windows! Saw a bear on the first afternoon of our stay, but sadly didn’t see many more. Home was close to everything we wanted to do and was a nice, quiet retreat from busy downtown Pigeon Forge.Some inconveniences existed during our stay - grill was not in a usable condition, upstairs shower door leaked onto the floor outside shower. Maintenance responded quickly to replace caulking. NEEDS a bear (and raccoon) proof trash can! Would suggest keeping trash inside during your stay until a bear proof trash system is in place.

This property was 45 stairs to the top and on the deck there was a regular non-wildlife proof trash can and a gas grill. This trash was strung out daily by bears. My husband had to pick up the trash from previous tenants because Momma Bear and cubs were holding us hostage in the house. The cabin door locks automatically when shut and I was locked on porch with Mamma Bear one point. Grease on gas grill was torn off. The Bears constantly looking inside our car. It honestly ruined such a nice place to stay.

It was the best getaway before back to school! The layout was perfect for us … soooo clean and stocked with all we possibly needed to have a great long weekend. Definitely recommend and hope to book it again soon.

The house was dirty when we arrived and had not been cleaned yet. Our check in was at 4:00 and we arrived at 4:00. We called the number on the refrigerator and it went to a non-emergency medical response company. I had to log in to the app to find the correct number. They informed us they would dispatch a cleaning crew. The cleaning crew showed up and said they would be done in an hour and that they were told check in was at 5:30. Regardless, an hour to clean the house is not enough time. When we got back, it was picked up and bedding changed but comforters didn't get washed, bath mats were soaking wet from the previous guests and the blankets on the couches hadn't been cleaned. I spent the next few hours doing laundry so that I knew what I was using was clean. There weren't any extra trash bags for the kitchen trash but thankfully we had one with us. Overall, it just felt dirty.The second morning we were there we were awakened by a smoke alarm chirping a low battery. We had to call and request for someone to come out and change it since all the ceilings are vaulted. It took about three hours to get the batteries changed. Everyone we contacted was very pleasant and polite. The vrbo comped us a meal as an apology for the house not being ready which was nice. However, the first day was stressful and not enjoyable since we spent time cleaning and doing laundry. The house is modern and spacious and the location was fantastic. The area is quiet and beautiful.

Great stay just a little kinks

Pros:Our stay was great. The cabin was just as pictured. We loved the personal touches for the kids. The under stair “hideout” was a hit. The welcome kits were very useful. Location was amazing. We were tucked away but still close to everything. Extremely easy check in/out. Cons: When we arrived the hot tub was still dirty. We reached out and in less than 24hrs it was taken care of. The stairwell outside needed to be cleaned up. There were lots of vegetation growing on the stairs and long grass. Not a deal breaker. The grill was dirty with lots of stuff in the bottom. Again not a deal breaker. Would stay here again. Our family enjoyed it.

Weekend Getaway

The property looks great from the pictures; however, there are a few things that should definitely be fixed. There was a contractor staple protruding out of a stair that became a hazard, especially because we had two children staying with us (ages 3 and 7). The frame of the downstairs bathroom is also coming unhinged from the wall on the right side. The check out info posted to the fridge does not match the check out info you receive in your email from Vacasa. One states check out time is 10:00am while the other lists 11:00am. One mentions to strip the sheets from the bed, while the other does not mention this at all. We were unsure which set of instructions to follow. We had some maintenance issues arise during our stay. The customer service line was helpful in getting us a maintenance technician out to the property in a timely manner.

The property was nice and as described. Great location and as the name mentions saw a bear the forst day (across the street) . There are quite a few steps to get to the door but that did not worry us, as we are fully mobile, limited mobility may want to consider looking on google maps to judge if they are able to climb. Did have a midnight visitor rummage through the trash:) great house.

Good experience

My wife and I stayed with another couple who are friends of ours. We were very pleased with the property. Well organized, staged, and finished property. Good location with close proximity to Dollywood and everything else we wanted or needed. Driveway is very steep with little room to negotiate but this is pretty typical with these kinds of properties. There were lengthy sets of steep stairs which were no problem for us (30s-40s) but pregnant, elderly, or individuals in bad physical shape need to be aware before booking here. We’d definitely book again!

Great Smokey mtn trip !

We loved our stay and the house was overall great! Very clean and everything was as described. There are a lot of stairs to the property but this was not a surprise. Compared to other properties that we passed, the driveway was not that steep. The hot tub seemed liked it needed a good clean or new filter, but otherwise everything was very clean. My only complaint/suggestion is the trash. There was only one outside trash bin which made it hard to fit everything in, but moreover it is not animal-proof. We used both carabiners to strap the bin and lid, but despite this raccoons were still able to get in and we ended up cleaning up trash along the deck and side of the mountain. We ended up keeping all the trash inside the house til the end of the trip. Overall would recommend!
