I am sharing the email I sent to the property management. I sent the email a couple of days ago hoping to get some sort of response. I have not, therefore I am sharing as a review. "I want to preface this with the desire to bring these things to your attention instead of via VRBO review. I will admit our booking was super last minute and there was not much out there that was pet friendly. I stumbled upon this listing and we were pleased with the pictures in the listing. We could tell the cabin is an older build and that is completely fine with us. We just wanted a nice getaway to the Smokies. I had a few questions in the booking process and Justin was wonderful at answering those in a timely manner. Once we arrived and in, we scooted a dining chair over and a screw fell out. Again, I reached out to notify Justin. We were not concerned with it being "fixed" while we were here but wanted to report that it happened without us using it. Later that night when we sat down to eat, we realized a leg was about to fall off a chair and the cushions are not attached to ANY of the dining chairs. I then had to reach out about the HVAC. I don't think my question was understood because I was told "use heat at night and cool in the day. Welcome to East TN weather." That was NOT the issue. The control was set at 68 and at 8pm each night it kicked on to cool to 65. After Googling the type thermostat I figured out it was in "Economy " mode and was able to correct the issue myself."

15 minutes into and up a mountain to this cabin retreat away from the Pigeon Forge traffic but nicely accessible to the things offered there... clean and quiet on side of mountain...

Mountain cabin

The cabin was cozy. We weren't able to spend much time outside near the fire pit bc it was chilly in early May. There were plenty of kitchen appliances & dishes. I would leave a set of bath towels for each guest, rather than one per person, and more dish towels. Outdoor furniture needs cleaning. Overall, average to just above that due to close location to Pigeon Forge. Host was available by e-mail for any questions.

Spring Break 2025

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was super clean. The kids enjoyed the game room. We were thankful for the washer and dryer. The hot tub came in handy after long days exploring PF. Overall, it was great and we had no issues.

Nice to get away, place not in as good a shape as the pictures suggested

We stayed in May 2024 and I'm writing this in February 2025, so my information may not be accurate any more. Last May, we arrived to an unkempt yard (mostly just old trash but included dangerous items like a long single edge blade wedged into the grass - very glad we didn't have young children there, but we did have a dog - we scoured the yard to pick up potential hazards). The backyard firepit area was usable but there was only one bench and the back of it was falling apart). The game room had mostly nonfunctioning equipment - the hockey table was damaged and unplayable and the arcade console was inoperable. We did enjoy the foosball table. Even though the place was not in the shape the pictures indicated, we had a good time together and it was nice to get away for a couple days.

Don’t waste your money!

We booked our stay here for a four day weekend to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday. Upon arriving to the property we immediately noticed that all of the doors and walls were caked in food and dirt. This wasn’t just one wall… it was entire house. We thought maybe we could move past that and just stay away from the walls, but shortly after we found dirt and bodily fluids on the bed skirt.. looked like blood/dirt/im not sure what else. Not only was the bed skirt disgusting the comforter was caked in hair, trash on the nightstand, busted furniture, it was an overall extremely uncomfortable experience. We contacted VRBO in hopes they would find us another place to stay, but they said it could be one to twenty four hours before getting a response. We drove three and a half hours home, because we had our dog with us and didn’t want to waste another 800 dollars on another stay. Four days later VRBO calls to let us know they reached out to the owner multiple times with no response. We didn’t expect to get a full refund, but maybe even the cleaning fee considering they didn’t clean the property and we didn’t stay a single night. I reached out to the owner since VRBO couldn’t get in touch with them and he immediately responded saying he didn’t know? Did VRBO not try to contact him multiple times? After that he left ME a review I’m assuming in hopes I wouldn’t leave him one. Here we are two weeks later no refund for anything at all and now I have a bad review on my account.

Dead bugs

Dead bugs all over the fireplace and windows. Not nearly as nice as the pictures. Water looks dirty And/or cloudy. Overall not satisfied at all. I ended up leaving a day early.

Not one of our favorites

The property owner controlled the thermostat remotely from their home. The living room stayed very cold the whole time we were their. We could not adjust it at all!. I did not like the location, being on a cliff side. Going and coming required very steep inclines. We left a day early even though we were were paid theough another day .For us it was the worst cabin we had syayed at dasteep.inclines
