Family time

The house was in a great location for enjoying Pigeon Forge during a very busy holiday time. The view was gorgeous from the large wrap around porches. Enjoyed the rocking chairs and swing.

Clean but several issues need to be addressed

We booked CougarHaus for a 10 person family Christmas gathering. Derek's communication was prompt and and set a warm and welcoming tone. Though Christmas decor was promised we were disappointed that there was none on arrival. The host was unaware and apologized, then learned from his cleaner that prior guests asked for it to be removed, then checked out late leaving no time to redecorate. He apologized and sent someone to set up a prelit tree which worked out fine and was very much appreciated. However there were numerous other issues that came up and I stopped trying to get them addressed by the host because I just wanted to enjoy my family.....e.g., We were short towels for 2 children using the sleeper sofa (ps there is only a small futon and not 2 as described in the ad). Towels weren't provided even after asking but luckily I brought 2 pool towels we could use. Spaces were clean but lots of lower quality/broken items. We were unable to get turn the game room TV on at all, most remote batteries were dead, the door to get to the lower deck/hot tub was almost in impossible to open, the fridge door shelving was entirely missing, broken bedroom bench, a lamp that could only be turned on or off by plugging/unplugging it, and cheap, squeaky mattresses. The freezer door seal was faulty, causing ice thaw and leak from the bottom periodically and pool in the kitchen. We all had the impression that the owner was just maximizing profit by minimizing investments in guest comfort.

Mountain Stay

The cabin provided a wonderful experience for our family. My only complaints, the jaccuzi tub in the upstairs bedroom was dirty and we had little bugs in the bed that looked like fleas and one of the downstairs bedrooms ceiling fan did not work. The community pool was very nice. When I called about the garbage someone picked it up the very next day. Excellent service.

Family Vacation

This cabin was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views. It was very well equipped with everything you needed for your stay. All the rooms were clean and very spacious. The entertainment/game room was a big hit with our family of 9. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next getaway.

Stay at the Cougar House

We took our children and grandchildren to the cabin for Easter. It was beauty and in close proximity to everything. We enjoyed the game room and the hot tub. Very relaxing. The owner respond via text message quickly, if you have any questions. We will be back again sometime this summer.

Wonderful Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Cougar Haus. The cabin had all of the basic necessities for our weeklong trip. Its’ close location to Pigeon Forge was very convenient. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Overall, we had a wonderful trip. Thank you, Derek for being a wonderful host.

Wonderful Cabin

Our family had a great trip and enjoyed the cabin. There was enough room for everyone and for everyone to have their own bedroom/bath suite was great! The only suggestion I would have is to take extra bathroom linens if you are not going to be in the cabin much during day, we had to wash towels and washcloths a few times late at night because there was only 2 towels / 2 washcloths for each bath. Derek was very helpful and always prompt to respond if we had a question. Would definitely recommend this cabin!!

Not Clean

The house was not clean dishwasher was full of dirty dishes cabinets were sticky and dirty the linen was stained and one of the rooms it was full of hair. The beds did not look like they had been changed. We had to ask for new linen and washed them before we could sleep in the beds. The shower curtain in the basement bedroom was mildewed we couldn’t even use that bathroom. The whole place was dusty the fan had dust hanging off of it. The carpet was nasty in the basement needs replacement, didn’t even look like it had been vacuumed.

Great Stay, Beautiful Cabin

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Cougar Haus. The cabin is beautiful, has beautiful views, and the neighborhood is beautiful. We loved that each room has an en-suite bathroom, and also allowed for each person to have their own exclusive “nest”. The game room and two balconies were great’ we are looking forward to staying here again.

Beautiful cabin, excellent owner!

This cabin was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Spacious, clean, close to attractions. Plenty of room for a large group to spend their time together! We had some hiccups with our trip due to forest fires and the owner was just all around amazing in helping us figure things out. We already cannot wait to plan our next trip to this gorgeous cabin.

Family trip

The property had plenty of room for all of us: 6 adults and 4 children. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Beautiful Mountain View’s. The owner was very responsive to any concerns or questions we had.

Birthday Getaway

We had a great time at Cougar Haus this past weekend. It was a bit of a last minute getaway to Pigeon Forge and we are a big group of usually 6 - 7, ages 13 and up, so we usually book a big cabin or 3 hotel rooms. This was a terrific layout with plenty of room for everyone, the pool table and hot tub are always a hit, and the common rooms and kitchen were big enough for all of us too. Having 4 king beds is rare and that was a huge plus in addition to bathrooms in each of the 4 bedrooms. The cabin neighborhood is quiet and much closer to the Parkway than I realized which was also a huge plus. Apple maps told us that the house address was 3 cabins down but we were able to figure it out pretty quickly even in the dark. Everyone had a lot of fun and were very comfortable in the beds. We would definitely stay here again if it is available when we look to come up last minute, we don't tend to plan these Pigeon Forge trips in advance but now I might just to make sure we can get in here. Very helpful and responsive host made the whole experience enjoyable and run smoothly.
