Pleasant stay in Pigeon Forge
My friend, brother and I had a wonderful stay at Gisele's place. The location is close to the main artery (Route 321) for various attractions in Pigeon Forge. It's about 15 minutes to Gatlinburg. It is easy to get to the National Park through the Gatlinburg bypass to get 'feel' the beauty of the Smokies even before you get there.Getting to the lodging takes you about 0.3 of a mile up a rough gravel mountain road. Gisele is very upfront about the road, but it is worth the effort. From the elevate porch (with hot tub), there is a table and have a patio meal or nestle into the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the beautiful view of the Smokies (including Mount LeConte) to the south. (The hot tub was good temp, but the jets were a bit tame.) Inside there is a table for dinners or jigsaw puzzles, etc. The kitchen is adequately stocked with nice pans and a drawer full of essential utensils. There is a limited supply of plates and glasses, etc. so you might have to hand wash some items between dishwasher uses to keep up with the meals. The refrigerator is on the smaller side, but adequate for stocking up your supplies from the Food City grocery nearby in Pigeon Forge. (Ask the cashier to scan their coupon code at checkout to get the same deals as the locals.)The master bedroom is generously sized, and the second bedroom has two beds in a slightly tighter space. There is a ping pong table outside in the converted car port area.Gisele is available to make your stay a pleasant one.
