Peaceful Family Barn near Sheffield

Come and stay in our converted barn, nestled in the South Yorkshire wilderness, yet only a quick 25 minute drive to Sheffield city centre. Perfect for familIes or one or two couples, our barn is a paradise for walkers, artists, readers, mountain bikers and nature lovers. Set in 4 acres of private garden and hammock filled woodland with a beautiful Yorkshire moor just over the drystone wall.

Firstly, the barn is our part time family home. While everything is professionally cleaned and packed away during Air bnb stays, you will notice signs of life and the normal wear and tear of our family's existence. If you're looking for a vacant holiday rental or something more hotel like, then please look on.

As such though, our house is a great place for family gatherings!

Warm and cosy and full of books, there are 3 separate sleeping spaces:

The main bedroom with a king sized bed and en suite bathroom (please see pictures, this bathroom walks through into the loft).

A very comfy downstairs pull out double bed. This space is cordoned off with a heavy curtain to enclose the room for privacy.

A book filled loft space with room for a blow up single or double
mattress which we can provide. This is a great place for kids to sleep.

Plus you're more than welcome to camp in our woods around the bonfire area!

The house is ideally located for country walks straight from the property or as a base to explore Hope Valley and The Peaks via car. We are also close to some of the best mountain biking trails in Sth Yorkshire. Manchester is a very lovely 1 hour drive away.
