“The house was not clean. Surfaces were sticky, dishes in the cupboard were dirty, the shower had not been cleaned, the toilet was broken, much of the furniture was unstable, including the beds, one of which had a loose pillar, the other with a headboard that was not attached to anything. The entrance through the carport was dangerous and ill-smelling. There was no functioning key to the front door, so entrance had to be made through the carport every time. In the horse bedroom, there was one...

“The pictures used for the listing was not what was currently in the house. Upon arrival the wooden planks used for the sidewalk were loose and lifted when you walked. The driveway was overgrown with low tree line. The sidewalk was overgrown with weeds. The yard was in need of mowing. When opening the front door, the smell of “wet dog” instantly hit you. The carpet on the stairs were worn and in need of cleaning. The upper deck needs to be replaced. I got a splinter when using the railing. The...

“This was a great place for our visit to Harpers Ferry. It was very spacious, secluded, and had all the amenities you would need. Highly recommend!”

“Great water access”

“Greetings & salutations,This is my 1st VRBO booking and there were no surprises other than, how big and fully stocked the kitchen was! The pictures do the place justice, great mattresses on all the beds. Great fire pit and decks. We ran out of Body wash and before you know it, Door dash dropped some off (thank you Beth!!)Definitely like being at a nice hotel, no stripping of beds, just run the dishwasher and take out the trash. Us old retired guys will be back next year for sure, thanks, RC”

“We loved the quiet property. So relaxing and the train theme was great!!! While there was just the 2 of us, it would be a great place for a family, too!”

“Very clean Very convenient Very nice stay”

“What a pleasure! Both the accommodations and our Host! The home was on a very quiet street within walking distance of town. Exceptionally well appointed and very updated (in fact it appears to be brand new). Communication was great, we had zero issues. We were overjoyed with the coffee set up (we’re big coffee lovers), more choices for brewing than you can imagine! We enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching deer and enjoying our coffee in the mornings. Very spacious and comfortable. Will...

“The weather played havoc with our Memorial Day weekend plans, but we still managed to have a great time. We ended up spending far more time in the Robin’s Nest than originally planned, so I feel confident in saying it was a comfortable home away from home for us. We made a couple of meals and streamed some movies on the smart TV, but mostly we lounged around when we weren’t out seeing the soggy sights.”

“Great property. Very clean and well furnished. Near town and many activities.”

“Was nice place”

“This house is on a dreamy property. Clean with one of a kind architecture. We loved seeing the cows. It was such an easy check in and check out process too.”

“We were looking forward to our first visit to Harpers Ferry, unfortunately we left early. The house was clean but, the windows have only sheets curtains, therefore at night there’s no privacy, anyone can see you from the road. Also some windows don’t lock. We did receive 100.00 back towards the night we didn’t used.”

“Christie is very easy to work! The property is beautiful and the rental is just perfect for 2 people. ”

“This is once again a terrible experience using a VRBO listing. We were contacted a few minutes to check-in that the cleaning staff were not done and ready for us to occupy. This was awful because we had been out and about all day and needed to clean up and freshen up because we had a show to attend in Shepherdstown at 5:30 pm. I told the contact we did not care if cleaning people were there we needed to get in at 4pm as promised and we would be gone in 40 minutes!!! but we need to get ready!...

“We loved our stay! It was a blessing that it was dog friendly as we had just adopted a 5 year old bloodhound and didn’t want to leave her behind. The place is very nice and spacious. We loved the hot tub and massage chair. What perfect compliments to all the walking and hills in Harper’s Ferry. We would stay again!”
