Una acogedora cabaña en el bosque, muchos senderos y un pequeño lago

Aquí estamos rodeados de vida salvaje y muchos pinos imponentes. La cabaña está escondida en el bosque con colinas, bosques sólidos y toneladas de senderos. El pequeño lago está aislado, no desarrollado y los kayaks / canoas / botes de remo son de uso gratuito. La cabaña fue diseñada para una pareja, pero agregamos una litera porque muchos de nuestros huéspedes quieren traer más familia. Hay un área de fogata privada ajardinada en una pequeña cala con grandes rocas justo afuera de la puerta principal de la cabaña. La cabina tiene una cama queen y una litera en el espacio abierto. Una chimenea de propano se encuentra en el centro de la cabina, una cocina completa que está equipada con todos los utensilios para comer / cocinar, cafetera, tostadora, licuadora, olla y bandejas para hornear, un espacio abierto, el baño está hecho a medida con un doble ducha con cabeza con un banco incorporado, lavamanos y estantes personalizados, todas las sábanas se proporcionan y se limpian meticulosamente para la cocina, la cama y el baño. Equipamos la cabina con juegos infantiles, colorantes, etc., juegos para adultos como cribbage, iniciadores de conversación familiar, rompecabezas, libros y revistas, ¡y no olvide la colección de DVD si quiere esconderse y mirar películas! Afuera, la cubierta se enrolla para que pueda observar la vida salvaje, que incluye osos, pavos, venados, toneladas de ardillas, un puercoespín que trató de comer nuestra puerta principal, pájaros y muchos otros. Suministramos sillas para sentarse y una parrilla de carbón. Un cielo estrellado aquí es increíble y puede ser tan tranquilo por la noche que es hermoso. Una estancia de invierno es mi favorita, ya que dejamos raquetas de nieve para los invitados y es la época más apartada del año. ¡Nuestros invitados incluso han traído y decorado árboles de Navidad! Como estamos en el sendero de motos de nieve, los huéspedes también pueden subirse a sus motos de nieve por un día en los senderos. Los ATV también son bienvenidos aquí y hay senderos épicos a 25 minutos. Cientos de pies de bosque lo separan de cualquier cosa más cercana en la propiedad, la cabaña es privada. Hay 200 acres en total para explorar y cientos de acres de tierra pública también. Operamos como The Black Lantern Resort y la privacidad es nuestro fuerte. Toda la superficie es muy divertida de explorar, también tenemos un carrito de golf en alquiler. El lago es ideal para observar la vida silvestre y los castores, ya que construyeron una cabaña y represaron el lago, también es divertido pescar, no nadar. I had a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully maintained. The view was absolutely beautiful and made my mornings and evenings extra special. Everything was just as described, and it felt like a perfect home away from home. I would happily stay here again and plan to do so. I highly recommend it to others.

Annie has a beautiful home. The pictures do not due it justice. It is far more than you can imagine. It made a great base for adventures in the area. It was warm and cozy. Check one off the bucket list and made it to the headwaters of the Mississippi.

Great place!

We stayed at this location to be back and forth to Bemidji. We were looking for a cabin and this one was wonderful! All the amenities of a cabin (games, books, etc.) were provided and the host was charming! We highly recommend this location and hope to be back!

better than expected cabin

The cabin was even more beautiful than what the pictures showed. We never left the grounds because it had everything we wanted - hiking, kayaking and bird watching. I loved that it had no wifi, but did have a great dvd collection and lots of board games. Anne (our host) was very friendly.

3 day stay

The Eleanor Cabin was just as cute and cozy as described. We loved the views, listening to the birds and an evening by the fire pit. The location was close to Itasca State Park, Bemidji, and our friends living in the area. We recommend a stay at the Black Lantern Resort. Thank you so much for all of the thoughtful details of everything included with the cabin.

Amazing

We were over due for a getaway and relax. Our stay melted away all the stress of our daily schedules of work and fixing up our trailer house. The only thing we regret is it wasn't a longer stay. We are looking into reserving Eleanor again, when we can find open spots.

Peaceful Reprieve

Eleanor (the cabin) is rustic inside and out but with modern touches. The dual walk-in shower was a delight! The property is quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to relax, unwind and unplug. Outdoor activities are within easy driving distance. Annie, the host, is terrific. She returns calls and texts promptly. If you are looking for a rustic but comfortable getaway this is the place for you!

Woodland Getaway

This is a beautiful cabin in an idyllic setting. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place for a get away, this is it. The cabin is well stocked with games, puzzles and DVDs. It's very pleasant to spend some time sitting on the deck and just enjoying being there and watching the wildlife. There are kayaks that you can use on the pond. Bemidji is about a 25 minute drive where you can go to the trail head and ride bikes on the Paul Bunyan Trail or take in the sights around town. Great place. I'd stay there again.

Cozy and Comfortable

This cabin and the amenities are an example of what a rental place should be!! Best communication with owner, very clean, everything you would need including the spaces to set up your belongings, hand your clothes and even a box of tissues!! The property was beautiful and the entertaining squirrels and deer near the cabin made it special. Highly recommend staying at the Eleanor cabin!! Thank you so much, Annie!!

Solo Getaway

I wanted a little cabin in the woods and I got just that! It was perfect for me to get away and connect with nature again. The kayak was a fun activity but I brought my own fat bike, a book, and my guitar and it was perfect! I would recommended this to anyone else who wants to do the same and doesn't have a large party. A max of 4 is comfortable there.

Beautiful property!

We were here 1 night with our 16 year old and 6 year old, and then 2 more nights with only our 6 year old (our 16 year old was joining a school trip). It was perfect for our needs. We might be a little crowded to try to come back with all 3 of our kids (an additional child was at camp already when we arrived), but the cabin and the entire surrounding property are certainly charming enough for a return trip. It was so peaceful! The little lake for canoeing or kayaking was super fun and a short walk away. The bathroom with double shower was great, kitchen well appointed. All in all, it was great and we absolutely book again.

Gorgeous sanctuary

My partner and I really enjoyed getting away from the city and being secluded with nature. The trails were very fun to walk on and there are so many birds and animals to see and hear. The cabin was gorgeous and we honestly could’ve packed lighter, as the fully stocked with all the kitchen supplies we needed, there were plenty of games and activities to do to occupy us during our stay. Annie was nothing but a gem and was available and enthusiastic to answer any and every question we had and really seemed to prioritize our comfort. 10/10 would recommend. Planning to come back very soon!

We stayed at Cabin Elenor, and loved how cozy it was. Spacious for a family of 3, plenty of board games, movies, and books as well. They also had a full kitchen with supplies, and fully running refrigerator and water. Bathroom was clean and was supplied with hygiene items as well. The only con inside the cabin was that the sink in the bathroom was backed up, and started filling with dirty water right away, so we had to brush and wash our hands in the kitchen sink. The outside was wonderful. It has a deck you can walk directly out to, and we ate breakfast there outside and enjoyed the scenery. They also had a nice little fire pit right outside the cabin, which was surrounded by large boulders; it made it feel very warm and secluded. They also have plenty of trails for hiking, riding an ATV, and playing area for children, which included a swing set just a short walk from the cabin, as well as a half court basketball court and hoop. Many things to love about this place! We will be back someday.

An excellent stay!

My partner and I came for a weekend away from our devices to relax and recharge, and this definitely delivered. The cabin was clean and cozy, the wrap-around porch made for a really nice spot to enjoy meals and the outdoors, and all the necessities were adequately stocked (toiletries, firewood, towels, etc.). Annie, the property manager, was very easy to communicate with and responsive to any issues that came up (there really weren't any). The only thing that could have been better was a more private location. The cabin itself is secluded, but it is part of a larger resort with an RV park and one or two other cabins. This was a small issue for us; a few cars/atvs passing by our cabin from time to time when we were hoping for a more isolated stay. Overall, this did not detract from our experience, but it is useful to know if you are looking for something more isolated/private.
