“Sankara was a perfect oasis of peace and tranquility on Yakushima Island. The service was impeccable. Everyone knew who we were and the villa we were staying at. So polite, gracious and helpful. The facilities were top notch and the spa was wonderful. We sampled the massages and facial treatments. Amazing experience. Dinner options were perfect. We were very impressed. My only complaint was the breakfast got a little repetitive and boring. We will definitely return. ”

“サーフィンのメッカです。早朝から夕方まで、誰かしらサーフィンを楽しんでいらっしゃいます。外海から来る波はちょうどいい波乗りのチャンスを与えてくれるようです。5月ー7月は、深夜に海亀も産卵に上陸するポイントのようで、ちょうど宿泊中に朝方浜に謎の紋様が刻まれており、近くに行って確認したところ、一匹の海亀が上陸した地点から直線で亀のヒレを前後ろに動かした模様が描かれ、産卵箇所らしき場所に大きな穴ができていて、そこに卵を産んだようなのです。産んだのちに海に戻ろうと、穴の周りを進んで、上陸場所から大きく半円を描いて海に戻って行った後が残っていました。そんな神秘な海岸の目の前に立つホテルです。夜、雲がなければ、本当の満天の星も堪能できます。素晴らしいロケーションでした。レストランのお食事も、地元、鹿児島特産の食材を美味しくいただけますし、普段では体験できないことが体験できる貴重なホテルだと思います。”

“There are buses from Airport or the Teófilo ferry stations which drop you very near , they have all the facilities in case you get wet in some of your expeditions , shoes dryer , washing and dryer machines. I left some accesorios and they managed to send them back to my hotel in Kyoto . ”

“ロビーの屋久杉レプリカとお部屋からのマウンテンビューが圧巻でした。お部屋もバルコニーも広くてゆったりできます。 当日お願いして夕食をつけてもらうこともできました。18:00〜の回と20:00〜の回があり、私たちがお願いした時はアラカルトのみの対応でしたが黒豚のローストなどとても美味しかったです。焼酎3種類のお試しが1200円なのに普通に3杯出てきて驚きました。 朝食ビュッフェのおかずの種類は多くありませんが景色が見えて気持ちがいいです。トレッキングに行く時は朝昼のお弁当に振り替えてもらえました。登山道具は売店でレンタルできます。 初めての屋久島で、移動手段やコンビニがないことなど不安があったのでこのホテルにしてよかったです。温泉も最高ですし、バス停がホテルの玄関(スタッフの方がバスを止めてくれます)、レストランや充実した売店のある安心感があります。売店ではお土産はもちろんカップ麺やおやつ、宿泊用の日用品やmonbel製品も売っています。スタッフさんもみんな親切でした。”

“必要なものはほぼ揃っていて　何不住なく過ごすことができました。雨の多い屋久島　靴のドライヤーまでありました。毎日タオルも交換され　洗濯機　洗剤も完備。 寝室は、寝転ぶとお天気が良ければ星が見えるようになっていて　お庭もとっても素敵❤︎ オーナーさんご夫婦もとても親切で　屋久島情報もたくさん教えていただきました。 手作りジェラートもとってもおいしかったです。縄文杉トレッキングが大雨で途中下山になってしまったので、リベンジの際には　また是非お邪魔したいとおもいます。 ありがとうございました♪ ”
