  • Wake to birdsong on a pine-lined creek feeding Rainbow Lake. Paddle the included kayaks, walk six minutes to the marina and the bar-grill, toast sunset s'mores around the fire pit. Inside: 75" smart TV, PlayStation, board games, and a zero-gravity massage chair for the end of a long hiking day.

    Four bedrooms, three baths, sleeps ten. King in the primary, queens in two guest rooms, and a queen plus two singles in the fourth — works for multi-gen trips. The back of the house opens to a creek and pond with Rainbow Lake just beyond. Fish off the dock, paddle the kayaks, or walk to the marina. Yard is open to the water, so keep an eye on kids and pets near the edge.

    Chef's kitchen stocked with coffee, salt, pepper, oil, dish soap, paper towels. Fast Wi-Fi (300mbps), full A/C and heat year-round, washer and dryer, workspace.

    We're the Schnepp family from Gilbert. This is a real home we use ourselves and rent out the rest of the year — message us and we'll make it right.

    The Area: Creekside HOA, a gated community at the north end of 116-acre Rainbow Lake. The White Mountains stay 30+ degrees cooler than Phoenix all summer with average highs in the 70s and 80s. About 3 hours from Phoenix. Fall foliage peaks the first three weeks of October. Sunrise Ski Resort is a short drive in winter.

    Good to Know: One well-behaved dog welcome. Quiet hours after 9pm. 4WD or chains recommended November through March. Smart lock self check-in. Exterior cameras at driveway and entry only.

The Cabin was very clean and comfy, myself and 4 freands went golfing every day, then just relaxed and made dinner every night, also a little fishing. Great location and very comfortable Cabin

Family 4th of July celebration

We had a wonderful time as a family of 7! From 81-16 years old it was everything we wished for and more…easy access to fishing, great views and walking distance to a great sports bar (The Tipsy Hippy). Fun was had by all!

We had a wonderful time at the lake house! Our kids 5 and 7 loved all the activities in the house. It was wonderful to see them playing board games, relaxing and enjoying lake. I really appreciated the hosts attention to detail when it comes to having “extras” like shampoo/conditioner/body soap as well as batteries for emergencies. We would highly recommend staying here to others and we would book this location in the future!

I took my 2 adult daughters and adult granddaughter for 4 days of quiet and a fun time. This house had everything you would possibly need for your stay. Nicely furnished, very clean and quiet. Eveything worked properly, instructions arrived in a timely manner. No problems whatsoever. The natural beauty of the back yard was very pleasant.We would definitely stay here again.Rebecca

Great spot

We enjoyed our time in pinetop and had fun at this spot. The kayaks were fun to use on the lake and we rode our bikes to a couple trails to enjoy the outdoors. We'd stay here again. Thanks!

Show low visit

We had windy cold weather but went to the Petrified forest and stopped at the Casino.Evenings were spent watching tv because the dining room chairs were not comfortable at all.Overall it was a relaxing quiet trip but not as planned because we couldn’t sit around the table and play games as a group.

Beautiful area

Gated community with beautiful home and surroundings. Great patio that overlooks the lake. House is full of everything you would need from sugar to firewood for the fireplace.

Getaway

I had a nice relaxing getaway. What a beautiful home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch watching all the birds and listening to the water. It was peaceful and just what I needed. My dad came up to stay one of the nights with me too and his favorite thing was the massage chair!

Lakefront Gateaway

Beautiful cabin with a short walk to Rainbow Lake. Cabin offers 4 kayaks for use, which our family loved. Kayaking and fishing was a daily must for the kids. In the mornings and evenings we enjoyed walking the trail behind the lake. Location was close to all our favorite Pinetop hotspots. When we weren’t out exploring or enjoying the local establishments, the house was a relaxing place to be.

Perfect Quick and Easy Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this Lakeside retreat. Plenty of room, amenities along with many extras included in our stay. We enjoyed Kayaking, (kayaks provided) fishing, hiking and treks into town. At night we made s'mores at the fire pit and played foosball, board games, etc. Loved the relaxed vibe. Accessing the property was quick and easy. We will likely be back!

From the time I inquired about availability of the property to my daughter leaving her teddy bear and Pete mailing it back to me, his communication with me prior to and after our stay was beyond. So much room for the 5 of us and just enough for us to do. Thank you Pete for your attention, service and opening up your home to us.

Very nice home and neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay and the home was as advertised. We really liked the kayaks; thank you for having life jackets as well. Not sure what the beds are but we all thought they were too firm. Did not like the mattresses. The shower in the master bath probably needs to be replaced; just sprays water everywhere. Not a great shower. Overall the house was very livable with plenty of space.

Overall stay was pleasant :) house worked out just fine for our family of 6. This house was in a good centralized area. Not too far from everything in town. We mainly wanted to visit Sunrise. It was abt 30-40 min from the ski park. Sounds long, but an easy drive. Unfortunately the winter weather just wasn’t there so we cut our trip a day short. Not a whole lot to keep the kids busy. The hosts made it very easy to check in, and everything in the home is set up to accommodate guests. There were a couple issues, but nothing that would keep us from staying there again. The one big annoyance is the parking situation. The garage will only fit a small vehicle. Think honda fit size… If you have suv’s or a pick up, they will only fit in the driveway. AND only one will fit in the driveway. You cant park in the street, so you will have to park any extra vehicles by the front gate entrance. We went to several of the host suggested places to eat. All were exceptional:)Overall experience was a good one & we would stay again:D

Lakeside rental

We had a great time here! The house is absolutely beautiful. We had 10 people staying and we didn't feel like we were crowded AT ALL. House was stocked with just about everything needed, even appliances. We did have kids ranging from 7-16, that are very active. I wish I could give it a 5 star rating!! It seems permanent residents in the community are not very fond of renters with children who like to play outside. There is not a good space for that. We felt the need to leave the community to play. There are a few other nearby places for them to run around. Most of the area surrounding the lake is privately owned which could be another challenge if you want to fish or be by the water. Other than those few little things we really enjoyed our time here.

Excellent location on the spillway and just adjacent to Rainbow Lake. Ample sized home for fishing party of 10. We must have caught, no joke, 300 fish. Bring plenty of bait.
