Enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and attentive, but English a little broken. Our request for a shuttle from the bus station was not fulfilled despite offering and every day our breakfast order was slightly different to what we had ordered but despite this really enjoyed our stay as the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very spacious. The pool area was always spotless and the pool was perfect for us to cool off after a days excursion. Would recommend for the price.

Exceptional Customer Service/Great Pool/Lounge

The new owner has spent his career in the hospitality business. His expert knowledge and attention to detail really makes the stay memorable. Very accommodating staff and English speaking owner with an immaculate pool area. I would definitely recommend!! Truly the best customer service I have experienced in all of my extensive travels.

Goede locatie maar verwacht niet veel

Eerste en enige hotel ooit in Cambodja voor ons, dus weten niet wat de normale standaard hoort te zijn. We vonden het in iedere geval een erg smoezelig hotel. Het personeel lijkt te bestaan uit een groep giechelende tieners die niet hun taken niet echt serieus nemen

プール付き、ベランダ付き！

スタッフの皆さん親切丁寧で心地よく過ごせました。掃除の際にタオルをかえてくれないことがあり、少し残念でした。ヤモリがいたりもしましたが、値段的にやむおえないかなと思います。清潔感はありました。 ベランダには椅子があったんですが、室内にも椅子があるといいなと思いました。フリーの水などはありがたかったです。

Nice hotel, with room for improvement

Nice little villa, with 19 rooms, 15 overlooking a pool and the garden. 7-10 min walk to Old Market and Pub Street. Pool is reasonable size and great for refreshment after a day of visiting the temples. Bathroom a little outdated and could do with hooks for towels. In room safes are actually wooden boxes with keys, not proper safe as you would expect. Hotel manager speaks good English, but not the the rest of the staff. If the hotel is full and you are not early for breakfast, they run out of bread which doesn't leave you much choices for breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Damnak Kunthea.

Ett hotell man återvänder till

Mycket prisvärt och trevlig hotell med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra läge i ett område som ej är alltför turistigt men med trevliga restauranger nära och gångavstånd till de mer turistiga området med Pub street, night marker & old market.

Nice hotel

We stayed at this good located hotel for 5 nights in Oct 2015. We had a very nice room by the swimming pool. There were some customer service incidence's at the hotel that didn't make our stay that good. One of the main reasons for our booking was that the hotel was supposed to have a fitness center (on hotels.com). They didnt. On our request the hotel contacted hotels.com and made them change the information about the hotel, but the staff weren't any problem solving and they didn't help us to find alternatives. On hotels.com it's also written that the hotel has free airport shuttle. After our stay we were going to Lao by plane and we asked for the free airport shuttle. The hotel staff then told us that the free shuttle was only for pick up at the airport and not the other direction. We told them that our booking information didn't specify that and that they should make the information more clear not to confuse the guests. Their only answer was that many other customers also misunderstood the information, that the confusing information wasn't their fault, that they couldn't make the information more clear and that we had to pay for our transport. All together - the hotel was nice and the staff friendly, but they should focus on improving their customer service. F.ex. they could have apologized for the misunderstanding with the fitness center and shuttle bus rather than playing innocent and blaming someone else.

Amazing Villa

This hotel/villa is wonderful. I would stay here again. Stayed here for about 4 nights. The room was big with AC, TV, mini fridge, safe, and a nice size bathroom. The villa has a pool and restaurant. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner. The manager even had breakfast packed for our early 5am Angkor Wat sunrise trip. The location was very close to night market, restaurants and Pub Street and the walk was about 3 minutes. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. The manager Mike spoke great English and very understanding of what was needed. Thank you Mike/Mai for helping me with my tour and being an amazing host/manager. Also, thank you for the hotel pick up and drop off. I don't know how to type it but "Chewel Muoy" Again, I would stay here again. Thank you Mai.

建物自体はそんなに新しくはありませんが20部屋以下のこじんまりしたホテルで、広さも十分で歯ブラシからドライヤーまで揃っています。コンセントも日本のものがそのまま使えます。トイレもウォシュレットまではいきませんがホース式シャワーが着いています。プールもあり遊びから帰ったら即プールでクールダウンしていました。小さなトラブルはあります。水がたまに止まったりとか。でもそれを補うだけのものがここにはあります。従業員やトゥクトゥクのドライバーは皆若いですが、非常に真面目で誠実です。困ったことがあっても彼らに相談すればすぐに一生懸命に対応してくれます。観光の希望を言えば途中からでもルート変更して対応してくれました。次があれば絶対ここに泊まりたいです。というより彼らに会いに行きたいです。

Not what i expected

A friend and i stayed here for 2 nights, despite emailing beforehand to request airport pickup as stated in our booking, there was no pickup. We found a driver holding a card for the hotel and after him calling the hotel he agreed to take us. The hotel is located down a backstreet in Siem Reap, 5 mins walk from the busy areas. the room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was awful, certainly nothing i have experienced before, it was clean but more like a concrete room with shower/sink etc. it almost felt like the rooms were in someones back garden. the pool was small, pretty and clean. The staff were polite but almost like they are not sure what they are doing and they hover around not doing much. we did have a couple of issues, among them being ordering a Tuktuk from the hotel, they did not ask for the money so we paid the driver then the hotel asked us for the money 3 times, despite telling them we had already paid, and on our last day we ordered a Taxi to the airport from the receptionist, who quoted $10. quite a high price for the journey but we agreed as we had an early flight. the following morning a driver arrived with his 2 children in the car to take us. He was very polite and took us to the airport but was very very surprised when we handed him the money which makes me question the hotel staff! There is also a vet surgery behind the hotel, so it is very noisy with street noise and barking from early in the morning etc. I would not stay here again.

Small, cozy and kind staffs

We arrived at late night but they kindly sent us a tuktuk driver to pick us up at the airport which was really nice. The staffs were very nice and kind. Room was pretty good and spacious. It was humid but air conditioner could help it. I wouldn't say the toilet was super clean. But it had pretty nice shower room though. The pool is a bit small but enough to chill out and relax. Location is very good. Quite area but still only 5 min to the city center. I would like to visit again there, and recommend to others :)

Charming retreat in Siem Reap

Lovely retreat not far from Siem Reap's hustle and bustle. Attentive staff, lovely pool, comfortable bed, good wifi in room, generous breakfast.
