At booking online Kathryne the host was communicative & agreed to try to get cleaning crew to unit earlier to give us an early check in, as our flight from Philly landed by 10:30 am, check in was 3pm. I messaged her when in uber on way to VRBO & no answer. We sat outside unit till finally at 2:10 Kathryne answered & apologized as cleaning crew hadn’t even arrived yet. She unlocked door remotely & we stored our luggage & left so cleaners could clean. At 5 pm I get a message that unit is ready (3 pm was check-in time). We return to find 1 set of towels & 1 beach towel. Kathryne finally the next day drops off towels as cleaners took towels with to expedite cleaning. Also she dropped off a beach umbrella as 1 there was torn, well the one dropped off did not fit in base, so couldn’t be used. Kathryne agreed for a late check out at noon instead of 10 am, as our flight was at 3pm. We went for a walk & returned at 10:30 am on day of check out, & remote lock wouldn’t work as Kathryne never reset the time for our agreed upon late check out. Shocker she wasn’t answering us when messaging her. We called main VRBO # & thank goodness Danica was able to unlock door remotely. But I never heard from Kathryne till the next day when was already home. She didn’t see the problem with this. My friends and I were so inconvenienced in many ways. I would never rent from her again. The unit is in a great location though. I do feel we should receive some type of compensation.
