Wake to the turquoise water of Cheronissos Bay just steps below your terrace at Ethereal House, a beautifully restored seafront apartment on the northern tip of Sifnos. Sleeping up to 4 guests across two double bedrooms, this serene Cycladic retreat pairs handmade stone, timber-beamed ceilings and soft island light with a wide furnished terrace where fishermen's boats bob on the water and the bay glows at sunset. A truly authentic, away-from-it-all Greek island escape.

The space Ethereal House is a 35m² ground-floor apartment (reached by a short flight of 5 steps), thoughtfully designed to sleep 4. It offers two double bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed (1.60 × 2.00m), individual air conditioning, a wardrobe and a wall-mounted smart TV. Both bedrooms open to the sea, framing the bay and the rugged hillsides beyond. The interiors are finished in a calm, contemporary Cycladic style, exposed wooden beams, smooth plaster walls, natural stone floors and warm hidden lighting that makes the space feel ethereal after dark.

The bathroom is a single, elegant shower room finished in pale microcement with a hand-carved stone basin, a sculptural backlit mirror and a generous walk-in rain shower. Towels, hairdryer and bath essentials are provided.

The fully equipped kitchen sits at the heart of the apartment, so you can prepare anything from morning coffee to a full dinner. It includes an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, filter coffee maker, kettle and toaster, plus pots, pans and tableware, everything you need to cook and dine in.

The highlight of Ethereal House is its large covered terrace, perched directly above the bay with sweeping sea views over Cheronissos. Furnished with cushioned sun loungers, an outdoor dining table and lounge seating, it's made for slow breakfasts, long lunches in the shade and watching the light change over the water. A washing machine is conveniently tucked into the terrace area.

Ethereal House sits right on Cheronissos Bay, the northernmost beach of Sifnos and one of its most peaceful, authentic corners. A tiny fishing settlement with a handful of seaside tavernas and crystal-clear, swimmable water just below the property. The small sandy beach is just 50 metres away, about a one-minute walk from your door. The main town of Apollonia, with its shops, restaurants and nightlife, and the island's port at Kamares are each about 14km away, a 20–25 minute drive.

Explore the idyllic Cheronissos Bay and its small sandy beach, sample fresh fish and local Sifnian dishes at the waterfront tavernas, and visit the church of Saint Polykarpos and the monastery of Saint George of Cheronissos at the entrance to the bay. The rest of Sifnos , Apollonia, the hilltop village of Kastro, the monastery of Chrissopigi and the island's celebrated pottery and cuisine is an easy drive away.

Cheronissos is a remote, tranquil fishing bay on the northern tip of Sifnos, so a rented car or scooter is recommended to explore the island. There is no private parking; free public parking is available about 150m away by the village square (where residents and visitors leave cars and scooters). From April to June there are 2–3 buses per day from Cheronissos to Apollonia; from July to September this increases to 4–5 per day. The mini-market in Cheronissos operates from June to the end of September.
