This property needs an update. The furniture was old and stained, the pillows smelled musty. The beds were awful, the sheets were rough and the towels were westjered 1 beach towel per person.The inside of the mini oven was black and the 1 fan all rusted. On night 2 I found a roach in the twin bed room. When I commented all I got was a scared emoji . The binder with all the highlights In the villa was a mess of papers, half in half out of the book. Most of the villas had lock boxes or key pads. we were forced to carry a little key around for a week. The island in general had some of the worst manners ever. Taxis were expensive, drive like maniacs and never smiled , greeted us or said thank you. Speaking of taxis the designated driver arranged driver who picked us up. Greeted us by saying I’ve been waiting ( even though we were in the pick up spot) grunted when we paid him. WELCOME TO CURAÇAO….. Beware this is far from “VIP “

A wonderful stay in Paradise

The house was absolutely wonderful with everything you need for a fantastic vacation. The outdoor terrace with a dining area and another with a living area was a special bonus allowing you to experience the island breezes and the lovely gardens. We can not say enough about how great and hospitable the property owner was. She provided us with tips on parts of the island to explore and local events happening during our stay. We highly recommend the property.

Lovely outdoor living

Gorgeous community with beautiful beach access, large deck to take advantage of breezes. We had a great time visiting Curaçao and staying in this excellent location. Britt was super responsive and helpful, too.

Great property, location and host

An amazing place to stay while in Curacao. Centrally located with a nice pool and top notch beach club with good snorkeling (especially if you swim around the breaker walls). Brit made check-in very easy and the unit had the essentials such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc. All the kitchen utensils and a really nice blender we used to make smoothies. Highly recommend!

Perfect Holiday

First thing I must say: Brit is a perfect host. She did everything to make this a great stay! Beginning with the transfer from the airport and ending with little gifts for our daughters. She almost immediately answered all our questions in advance and during our stay. She was always helpful! We can‘t thank her enough! We stayed in Villa #34 with a great view onto the pool and the golf course. The Veranda was superb! The villa itself also provided everything we needed. Even beach toys for the kids were available. The walk to the beach was about 5min...and it is one of the best in Curaçao. We could use the sun lounger and tiki huts with the beach passes Brit provided. Which was very nice. All together a very relaxing stay!! Thanks again Brit!!

Great villa and great location

We just came back and already missed the villa and the island The villa is exactly as described, very well maintained and placed in a very relaxing setting inside the blue bay village The veranda in particular is incredible! The location of the village is also perfect to reach any point on the island, 10 min drive to downtown Punda and short drive to all the west beautiful beaches The private beach of the resort is one of the nicest of the island and we enjoyed it a lot!! Thanks also to the owner for providing so many things both in the kitchen ( coffee, teas, sugar, condiments etc.) and in the bathroom ( shower soap and conditioner too!!) Britt has been very prompt in answering all my questions and even if we were unable to meet her in person, her friend Mary was very helpful in the check in and out process and answering us right back about any issue we had Thank you Britt, I hope to meet you next time we will come, because we will be back!!!

Great family vacation!!!

Just returned from our family vacation and Brit is an awesome hostess. Her hospitality, professionalism, and the accuracy of the property description, cleanliness, etc made our first trip to the island beyond great! She answered all my emails (with all my questions) within a few hours and helped us navigate the island more easily. She upgraded us, for free, to her larger villa which fit our family perfectly and made our trip that much better. I cannot say enough about how Brit helped make our family vacation one of our best. Have no worries about renting Brit's great villas. Thank you Brit, for all you did for us.

Perfect Location Serene getaway

This villa was perfect for my families needs! We used for my daughters wedding preparation and I cannot express how grateful for the ease this villa and owners made this destination wedding MOB feel. If I had any negative comment it would be I wish AC in main living area, but grateful that there was AC in all three bedrooms which kept main area cool during the hair and makeup portion of our preparation. Words can’t do villa 34 justice! Brit was very responsive, helpful, and thorough. Five ladies from the USA had plenty of room and the outdoor living area was where we spent all the time when at the villa. Close to beach and pool. The walk to the beach was beautiful with flowering plants, lizards, and colorful birds. We enjoyed the island and hospitality so much we want to go back next year. The only downside to the villa was no ice maker in the freezer. We had to buy bags of ice daily. Wish there were instructions for the washing machine as Americans aren’t familiar with European appliances. Can’t wait to get back to Curaçao and villa 34!! Nancy

Quiet, beautiful, relaxing community, with all you need at hand.

Amazing space, breezy, modern, high quality, relaxing. Close to the pool and beach, plenty of shade at both. Very nice landscaping between and around the buildings. Our upper floor unit had plenty of breeze so we never needed air conditioning. Kitchen had everything we needed an much more. Beach restaurant is fine, and Pictures next door was really nice for dinner. Brit is an exceptional hostess, very friendly and willing to share information about Curacao. We much prefer this area to Mambo Beach.

Outstanding vacation villa

Blue Bay villa 34 is a beautiful property. It is a second floor property, so there are some stairs from ground level to the front door - but what a beautiful villa. Wrap-around deck is the key feature. Offers a wonderful view to the west so you can sit and capture the sunset at the end of the day. The villa comes fully stocked with all the necessities including towels, linens, plates, dinnerware, glasses, cups as well as a good array of kitchen utensils, oils, spices, etc. On the wrap around deck you'll find two very comfortable lounges plus side tables and comfy chairs as well as a beautiful teak dining table the easily sits 6. Each bedroom has an A/C unit plus ceiling fans and there are ceiling fans above the outside deck. Window walls roll back and there is almost always a nice breeze so the whole unit is cool with good air flows. Roll back the window walls and the outside and the inside simply merge into one open great living space!! It's a quick drive or walk to blue bay beach - which is one of the nicest beaches on Curacao. For those who snorkel you must check out the house reef - go left towards the end of the breakwater and you'll find some amazing fish. If you are a scuba diver be sure to visit the blue bay dive shop for a guided reef tour - it's amazing. Brit (the owner) is very responsive and provides complete instructions and support from reservation through check out. Mary (who is on site) was charming and made the check in and check out process simple and easy - thanks to both Brit and Mary for a totally enjoyable visit. This was our fifth visit to Curacao and our second time staying at Blue Bay. Without a doubt we will be back next year and would certainly rent this villa again. Rating this 5 stars - but in my book it is a TEN!!

Perfect place to stay. From Blue Bay you are 20 minutes from anywhere on the island. Beautiful beaches as close as a 2 minute walk on a 20 minute drive.

A Wonderful Vacation Spot!

Our party of five enjoyed our villa very much. The wrap-around veranda was a wonderful place to relax and have morning coffee. It was fun to watch the colorful birds flying between the trees. We were within sight of the pool and even could see the flamingos off in the distance on the golf course. The beds were quite comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was quiet and cooled down quickly. It was also nice that the owner provided some kitchen staples to get us started. Beach chairs on the beach were always available and we enjoyed snorkeling in the bay. The three onsite restaurants were also good.....and a trip to Otrobanda/Punda was a quick 15 minute drive away. The owners were very accommodating and promptly addressed any questions or needs that we had. I highly recommend this unit in Blue Bay.

Wonderful villa in a great spot!

We loved our stay at Blue Bay! The villa was spacious, clean and well-stocked. Brit and her family were wonderful hosts, answering many questions and providing everything we needed to make our stay easy and pleasant. Our family of 5 especially loved the very large veranda with comfortable furniture for relaxing at the end of a long day of exploring the island's many beaches. We also enjoyed being able to walk right down to the beautiful beach for snorkeling closer to home, and we found that Blue Bay had some of the best snorkeling on the island. We swam out around the rocks on the right side of the bay and saw beautiful coral, hundreds of fish and even a turtle! We found the restaurants on site to be a little pricey, but the Centrum market down the road had a good selection and we found other restaurants nearby that were more reasonable. Overall a wonderful vacation and we can't wait to go back!

Brit, many thanks for everything!!! The appartment was wonderful, we didn`t miss anything. And the way you live your role leave us speechless and was, beside the island, a key factor for making our holiday truly unforgetable. Hoping to come back! Das Appartement war wunderbar und schön eingebettet in einer sauberen und grünen Anlage mit einem traumhaften Strand...und einem Pool für das Kind. Die Anlage bietet alles, was man sich für einen Familienurlaub mit Kind und Großeltern wünschen kann. Auch für Taucher und Schnorchler hatte die Blue Bay bereits einiges zu bieten. Für Ausflüge bietet sie zudem einen günstigen Ausgangspunkt. Wir haben uns bei Brit sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei Ihr fühlt man sich nicht als anonymer Gast, im Gegenteil! Ihre herzliche und zuverlässige Art ist gelebt und das bereits schon beim ersten Kontakt, Monate vor der Reisebeginn. Alle Zusagen und Absprachen wurden von Brit eingehalten und sollte es mal kleinere Probleme geben, versucht Brit für alles eine umgehende Lösung zu finden. Man spürt bei Ihr, dass Sie die Insel liebt und kennt und wer will, erfährt von Ihr Interessantes und bekommt hilfreiche Tipps für einen gelungenen Urlaub. Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Brit buchen… und werden dies sobald wie möglich bestimmt auch wieder tun...;o) die 5 aus Berlin

Didn't want to go home!

We loved everything about Blue Bay! Brit was a wonderful hostess who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, and her villa was fabulous. The gorgeous beach was perfect for relaxing and snorkeling. We also did our first Scuba Dive at Blue Bay and the instructors were great! All the restaurants at Blue Bay were delicious, and Blue Bay is close enough to make quick trips into Willemstad as well as explore other beaches. My husband and oldest son went deep sea fishing for a morning. All 3 of our teenagers loved Mambo beach and all it's amenities. Our only disappointment was the day we wanted to go hiking at Christoffel National Park, it was closed for the Good Friday holiday, but we still got to explore Westpunt and other local beaches near there. Other great restaurants we tried were The Pier, near Jan Thiel Beach, Scampi's on the waterfront in Willemstad, and Pirate Bay at Piscadera. I would definitely come back to Blue Bay and would rent from Brit again without a second thought! Thanks Brit for everything!!! The Keller family

Wonderful villa with everything you could want or need!

We had an absolutely amazing family vacation to Curacao and stayed at Blue Bay Beach villas. Our villa was absolutely beautiful, fully equipped with everything we could need (except an oven, but then the owner brought us one!) and the location was superb. I have used VRBO for many vacation rentals and this one was by far the best. Easy walk to the beach and pool, short drive to get groceries, the owner even had some drinks ready in the refrigerator upon our arrival. I cannot say enough good things about this villa and the owner.

Great VIlla, Resort, &'Snorkeling!

This villa was perfect for our party of three women. We love Curacao for the snorkeling and amenities at Bluebay Resort and the art community in Willemstad. Brit and family were the perfect hosts before, during, and at the end of our trip. The villa was very clean and well furnished with all amenities provided. We enjoyed the breezing wrap around porch where parrots flew by most most mornings and evenings. We enjoyed bird watching at the flamingo lake, a short walk past the pool below the villa. Brit provided a detailed guide to the island with dining, beaches, and shopping recommendations. It was all good, but our favorite spot is still Bluebay! This was our second time there and we'll be back.
