I booked The Aldor as I have stayed here a few times before. When I arrived I was told that new owners had taken it over in January, I was a little concerned but very quickly realised I didnt need to be as it was still every bit as good as before.
I was shown to my room, offered a fresh pot of tea or coffee, told about breakfast times etc.
I had a double room - two twin beds, so ended up a big double.
Very comfortable, quiet and a good nights sleep.
The rooms were clean and tidy and well equipped, as were the communal areas. Owners seemed happy to help with anything you wanted. Breakfast was hot and nice quality. There was parking outside on a very long road so no problem finding a spot.
Only thing I would say is that the curtains need to be dark or blackout - by about 05:45 I was awake and it was as bright in the room as daytime and I found it hard to get back to sleep.
Would recommend this Guest House - the New Owners have definitely maintained the high standard that I remember from previous years.
