There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. The only noise at night was our bed which creaked really loudly every time me or my husband moved dispute that we slept very...

“The cottage is in need of a deep clean. The bed around the mattress was filthy with dust, hair and cobwebs underneath. The same behind the bedside cabinets. The vinyl sofa in the lounge smelt like a regiment of overweight sweaty men had spent a few summers sitting on it and gently marinating the vinyl until it stunk of stale sweat. We had to disinfect the entire thing with spray. It still smelt bad afterwards. One for the local tip I would suggest. ”

“The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. ”

“I wouldn't stay again. I rarely leave reviews up to this point but was left feeling like this 'apartment' is a room in a multi occupancy house and it felt a bit.....what's the right word......DHSS ish. I didn't use the communal kitchen as someone in there was, well a bit weird, looking disturbed. I just think I was looking for cheap and cheerful. It was cheap. ”

“Property was clean. Not as stated entire property. Shared facilities. Bathroom via the kitchen on ground floor had child. Did not feel we could relax here as thought we had entire apartment. Outside next to little shop. Traffic island outside meant couldnt park outside and single line. Area around property made us feel unsafe- wasnt the best.”

“When i arrived i was sent the code to the key safe to get the keys. When I opened it there was no key in the safe. Having phoned the contact number and cutting a long story short a member of staff had gone off with the keys in his pocket. Also there was no shower gel in the shower. The kitchen is communal and the walls are not thick and I was awaken by the sound of cups being knocked together at approximately 6 am.”

“It was extremely disappointing to discover that the photos on the website did not reflect the reality of the property. Upon arrival, the house looked nothing like what was advertised. I had booked a room for two people, but the space was far too small to comfortably accommodate us. On top of that, the entire house was unclean, which made the stay even more unpleasant. Overall, a very disappointing experience.”
