Escape@EIGHT - Smiths Beach

  • Two storey beachhouse, front and rear balcony, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, double lockup garage, secure yard, close walk to the beach.

    What will you find when you get there?

    Welcome to our house, upstairs you will find lounge with all your entertaining needs - TV, DVD and Stereo, dining area with 8 seat setting, fully equiped modern kitchen including microwave and dishwasher and cupboards full of the things you left at home, including the Potato peeler. Main bedroom with queen size bed, second bedroom with 2 single beds, large bathroom with separate shower, spa bath and toilet. Sit on the rear balcony and watch the sunset or front balcony and enjoy a bbq or chat.
    Downstairs another living area with TV, 3rd bedroom with 2 bunks sleeping 4, 2nd bathroom, separate toilet and fully equipped laundry with washing machine, dryer and iron. In the double lockup garage you will find spare fridge, boogy boards, badminton and outdoor chairs.

    Note: LINEN NOT SUPPLIED unless it is an International Sporting Week/end
    PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED at the property.

    What will you do when you get there?

    Make sure you bring your bikes as the bike track goes all the way to Cowes or San Remo, or just let the kids ride up and down our private road without the worry of beach traffic.
    A drive into Cowes will take you 6 minutes or 2 minutes to the Grand Prix and Go Kart tracks.
    Have you seen the Penquins? A 10 minute trip straight down the road will get you there, and a little further on to Seal Rock and walk.
    Visit Phillip Island Winery 5 mins down the road to enjoy an amazing meal, enjoy a wine in The Yards and let the kids run the lawns as you enjoy the view.
    Visit Rhyll and make sure you grab some fish & Chips at Tyde as they are the best on the island.
    Visit Churchill Island for the market or Jazz festival or just wander aound the homestead.

We had a great stay at Pamela's. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the house was clean and you could not beat the location. We will stay again!

Sparkling clean, and an amaazing location.

This property was super clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of little added touches like coffee and chocolates. What a lovely stay.Of course, the real star is the location. Just 3 minutes walk to smiths beach and 2 minutes to the cafe.Would highly recommend.

Perfect family stay

We had such a relaxing stay at Pamela’s place! The house was super clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to shop & beach, but quiet. Pamela was friendly , responsive, helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

The location of this property is it's highlight. Just a walk to the beach and cafe. The house itself is very comfortable, with a large garage to keep surf boards etc (they also have boogie boards and games for kids). Downstairs had a separate bedroom with bunks and an ensuite and small lounge/tv - perfect for my teenage son and upstairs was a well equipped kitchen, lounge, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The phone signal and wifi has a very weak signal so there was not streaming services and I was unable to log into work which I had hoped to do, however I can't say I complained! Switching off was a pleasure and with the beach around the corner we had no need to the tv! They did have a selection of dvds however if you really wanted to chill in front of a movie. Pamela was an amazing host. She was very responsive, attentive and courteous A pipe had fallen outside the property and she had a plumber over within a couple of hours to fix it. Amazing service. Thank you Pamela for a wonderful stay. We will be back

Perfect family get away

We have come to the island at least twice year for the last 9 years as we love it! We’ve stayed all over the island but love to be close to our favourite beach - Smiths beach. This was perfect as it’s a short walk to the beach. The house was thoughtfully furnished and well stocked. The boogie boards were a bonus as we forgot to bring ours. It was very clean and we all felt very comfortable with my 16 year old downstairs with his own bathroom and bedroom. The 12 year old had her own room upstairs. Perfectly set out for us. There were cards, dvds, kids books, badminton, cricket sets. Very thoughtful.Short walk to the cafe for a coffee too. We swam 2 times a day with the outdoor shower perfect to ensure no sand comes into the house. Loved the house - we’ll be back! Thanks Pamela - you were a terrific host

Great house and location

Short walk to Smiths Beach and general store. 10 mins drive to Cowes. House was very clean and comfortable. Pamela was a great host and communicator. Had great breakfasts at M&O and Penny Lane. Nice dinner at Rusty Waters Brewery.

Nice time

We had a nice time. The only concern was the stairs were steep (a bit too steep for toddlers). The balcony’s are more suited for older children also. And the house is more of a town house with neighbours directly next to you side by side. You can hear the waves of the beach which was lovely. We went on the Easter holidays and for some reason a lot of activities and restaurants were not open on Monday and Tuesday and even some Wednesday. The Smith corner store (more of a gourmet cafe) was lovely but $$$$$ and shuts at 3pm. Wish we had of known so we would have booked for a weekend.

One of the best equipped places we have ever stayed in! Close to beach, quiet, clean, and bright. Especially love the outside post-surf shower. Thanx for the stay....
