Cozy and quaint. Perfect for small family weekend getaway. Could have had a few more area rugs for added comfort and possibly a bigger bed for my husband and I to share with our little fur baby, but we were able to put the twin bed that was under one of the beds, next to the other bed and kind of slept next to each other. I would give it a 4 star if it weren’t for needing to kill quite a few stink bugs that kept getting in the house and the refrigerator not keeping things as cold as it should have. I would book again.

We received a warm welcome by host. Easiest check-in ever. We stayed M-F and never left, so utilized the kitchen extensively. Everything we could have imagined was there for our use. The hummingbird feeder outside the window over the sink was a delight!

This was an amazing find. Even though the owners live on the property, it was very private. The house was very clean and as advertised the property was beautiful. I had an amazing time. The host were easy to reach! I would definitely recommend staying here! Very peaceful

We had a great stay at this property. It was close to both Mammoth Cave National Park and Bowling Green activities. The house had plenty of space for our family and was well equipped for nice breakfasts, prep for lunches during our adventures, and prep and light cooking after a long days. Having the grill right outside was great. The house was smartly decorated, too, with local decor and cute and attractive decorations throughout. If we were to return to the area, we would look to stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

Chris and Chuck were excellent hosts. The property was ready for us and they provided great communication about arrival as well as a bunch of recommendations for the area. The house had everything we needed for us and our kids! We would definitely return. We had easy access to Mammoth Cave National Park which was the purpose of our trip. Highly recommend this house!

Mamoth Cave Vacation

This property was absolutely charming. The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. Chris was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the view. The cottage was close to Mammoth Cave and there was a Buckee's just down the road. We really enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing stay close to lots of area attractions.

This property is very relaxing with a beautiful view. The owners are very friendly too. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio and listening to the sounds of nature. The house was clean and well maintained.

Lovely place to stay!

I so enjoyed my stay at your wonderful little guest house! So clean, quiet, and serene country setting! The hosts were wonderful and welcoming, I cannot recommend this place enough! I will definitely stay there again if I come up for another clinic :)

Peaceful pet friendly stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at this peaceful rural gem! From the moment we arrived, the friendly hosts made us feel right at home. The serene setting was exactly what we needed.What truly made this Vrbo standout was how pet-friendly it was! Our pup was not only welcomed but spoiled with their very own bed—such a thoughtful touch! It’s clear that the hosts go above and beyond to make every guest, furry or not, feel special.We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

Spontaneous decision to travel - great results

We made decision to deliver Christmas gifts personally rather than ship at the last minute, found this delightful place to stay about 15 minutes from downtown Bowling Green where my son’s family lives His family came out to this rental and we had plenty of space to open and play with the gifts we brought for the grandkids.

Welcoming cottage in a great location

Highly recommended! Chris and Chuck were amazing hosts. The cottage is very welcoming, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated for the season. It was stocked with everything you could need, the fresh eggs were a nice treat. It was great for our family of 5. We spent a lot of time outside and sitting under the gazebo with a fire. The cottage is nicely located 20-30 minutes from most cave attractions and Bowling Green. The hilly winding roads give a great southern feel. We would love to stay again if we were in the area. Thank you, Chris and Chuck.

I absolutely fell in love with this little cottage as soon as I walked through the door. The hosts, Chris and Chuck were very friendly and welcoming and have created a beautiful little slice of heaven to share with others. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and i hope to visit again with my children to enjoy the area and the farm scenery. Definitely one of the best ABNB I've been to!

Perfect getaway, amazing hometown hospitality!

We absolutely loved our short stay here!! The cottage is perfect. First, Chris (and Chuck) is the BEST host! She goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and informed. The farm fresh eggs from Chris’ chickens made our time feel like being back home on our farm. Due to significant traffic on our drive, we arrived much later than expected. Chris noticed this and made sure that the lights were on and the door unlocked for us. The cottage is very spacious with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds great. The seasonal decorations just added to our delightful travels to Smiths Grove! We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Great place

A beautifully decorated home, 2BD 1Bath with total laminate flooring ( pretty) which is great for being pet friendly. The well manicured property is several acres, with lots of room for strolling around outside. Nice covered deck with fire pit and gas grill. Friendly owners live next door- they provide anything you might need, but the home is extremely well stocked. They have brochures at the house available for most activities- We went to Mammoth Cave - 30 minutes away- I would advise booking your tours before going if possible. They sell out quickly and you can be left with nothing to do for several hours waiting on your tour. Another note- if you are planning to leave a dog with a sitter, be sure to bring immunization papers. We drove to Bardstown for the day. ( little over an hour by interstate) It's a fun historic town, bourbon capitol, with neat shopping and restaurants.

Wonderful cottage

Chris and her husband were so friendly and responded quickly to our questions and even turned on the lights since we came in late. Such a cute cottage with all the things you need. They have chickens and left us eggs for breakfast! t is about 15 minutes from Barren River

Fabulous host

We came to spend a few days in Bowing Green and at Mammoth Cave. It was pretty warm outside so we spent more time in the rental than we expected to. It was comfortable and welcoming.

Great cottage

We stayed 3 nights with our grandchildren. Everything was great. The fresh eggs were an unexpected bonus. The hosts were friendly and helpful but not obtrusive. It is off the main roads in a rural setting.
