Relaxing and fun
What a fantastic stay! The cabin is beautifully decorated, immaculate and equipped with everything we needed, including outdoor games, kitchen utensils, etc. The property is very pretty, well kept and offers a calming setting, perfect for a relaxing and fun getaway with the family and the dog :) The river view and the diverse wildlife made it even more special. The owners are super friendly, helpful and attentive. Great people! We will return!

Perfect getaway!
To say anything bad about this property, I'd have to get into personal preferences, and be annoyingly nit picky at that. A near perfect location, with the secluded back yard giving a view of the river through the trees, and remote enough for beautiful starry nights. Even though we came for the eclipse and got clouded out for the exact 5 minutes around Totality, we're all very glad we made the trip from PA, as it was still a fabulous weekend

Great Property for Family
My family and I (5 adults and 1 kiddo) enjoyed our stay at Deer Run! The property was super clean and very comfortable. We loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and star gazing. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be coming back for another stay!

Great getaway from the city!
We loved our weekend getaway from the city. The house was amazing and we enjoyed our stay overall. The only issues we had was rolling power outages and the TVs didn’t work in the bedroom. We messaged the host and they were working hard to get it fixed.

So fun!

Family Getaway
We had a lovely family getaway at deer run cabin. This property is kept very well. You can tell the owners put a lot of hard work into the property. My only advice to you is make sure you travel in during the day because it is hard to see the cabin signs at night.

Great place. Clean with a beautiful view..grill..hot tub was perfect. Fire pit..swing near by. The only draw back for me is the beds were to tall for me to get in..need to consider stepstools for people 5 ft and under

We rented this wonderful riverside cabin Oct 27-28 to stay during our fall foliage drive through our states gorgeous region. Very comfortable. Deer Run had everything we needed! We will come back to the Legacy cabin area.

Peaceful getaway
We enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was very peaceful and secluded. Perfect getaway for friends. We kayaked, roasted marshmallows, soaked in the hot tub and enjoyed all the amenities Deer Run had to offer. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Easy instructions for check out. Excellent place to stay for families or friends.

Awesome cabin
Our stay at Deer Run was pretty much perfect.. there were 5 adults and a 90lb golden retriever and we had plenty of room. The cabin is exceptionally clean and very welcoming. The landscaping was gorgeous. The river access is a very short drive and took us about 15 minutes to walk. We had some 1st time kayakers and some inexperienced kayakers and everyone had a great time on the river. It stormed while we were there and the river was up a little but we were all still able to enjoy it. It was not scary or awkward to us as some have reviews have suggested. The only critiques were to have some seating at the river for any guests that are elderly or have mobility issues so they can watch and be with the group will on the river. The other critique is, the grill is not a grill.. it’s a smoker. If you want a good hot grate that leaves sear marks on your steak or chicken etc. you will have to use the fire pit. Otherwise you will just be boiling your food not grilling it.

Perfect family get a way
You will walk into a warm and inviting luxurious cabin in the woods. Everything you could possibly need other than food is there. We adventured out but were also happy to stay in and enjoy the hot tub, swimming, hiking, cooking meals, watching movies, playing games and having fun with family. Hochetown is touristy and has all the “excursions” we will definitely go back and had all the privacy you could ask for. One thing you need to know that i didn't based on the listing is there are several similar cabins on the property that could accommodate many more friends or a large get together for a reunion, etc. Wonderful memories!!

Summer trip
Very relaxing cabin. We enjoyed the back yard & the games that they provided. The bench in the trees is so nice in the mornings while enjoying coffee. Very clean place. We are a family of 7. Kids 13,12,9,6,4 & there was plenty of bed space. 2 full baths so that was nice. Almost felt like home. Had everything we needed. Kayaks arent close by like it seemed like on the description but it’s maybe a 3 minute drive to them & completely worth it. It was one of our favorite things to do. Overall, would absolutely stay again. We want to go back when it’s colder so we can enjoy the hot tub & fire.

We did enjoy our stay. Since we usually stay using Vrbo, I like to review the positive and negative. The positive on this stay was the home. It was lovely. Very clean, and the host took care of all needed items to help make your stay comfortable. That being said, yes we would recommend the cabin. Two things that were disappointing: we thought there was easy water access to the river for canoeing and swimming at the cabin. Not sure where the pictures of the canoes were taken with the sloping, easy access, beach like area, but it is not the back yard of the cabin. The backyard has a pretty view of the river, but is on a hillside that you can’t access the water. The walk, or drive to the canoes wasn’t extreme, but the area where the canoes were kept was a disappointment. We chose not to canoe due to how awkward, deep,and narrow the area was in getting canoes into the water. Then getting bodies into the canoes in the deeper water. The adults in two different groups from other local cabin groups were like” nope, not happening.” So fishing, swimming, and canoeing at the cabin were all out. So, this meant we had to search out where these activities could be done. We found places around Broken Bow, but not knowing area and only having 3 days, they weren’t the best. Big disappointment in use of our time. The hiking in the area was enjoyable. The second thing that disappointed was the amount of chlorine in the hot tub was way too much.

Couldn’t be better
The photos don’t do this place justice, honestly. It’s just gorgeous, inside and out. If you gave me money and asked me to use it to improve the decor or the setting or the amenities, I couldn’t do it. Our family of 6 enjoyed the outdoor living and free kayaking so much. The yard is manicured and can be well lit at night and we stayed up late playing cornhole (provided). You won’t find another cabin with prettier flowers and landscape. The inside is as well appointed as the outdoors. These owners thought of everything. We will very likely be back!

So Peaceful

The Great Cabin
This was an amazing get away for my sisters and I to take our mother; who is a pancreatic cancer recovery patient. She has also had a hip and knee replacement within the last year. Just seeing mother relax and enjoy this cabin was the ultimate blessing! The interior and exterior of this property is super fantastic. The owners are a God’s gift to their customers; meaning they are down to earth loving humans! We are planning a yearly trip to return to this location. EXCELLENT EVERYTHING❣️😍💜💜💜

The Deer Run cabin was exactly what we hoped it would be. Peaceful place in the quiet of the woods.
We experienced all kinds of weather and all of it beautiful. Anne and Darin checked on us, making certain we had everything we needed. We came to the area for hiking and this cabin is centrally located for beautiful hikes in both OK and AK. This cabin has all you need, very well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Remarkable Experience
I really enjoyed the Deer Run experience and what it had to offer. I wanted a weekend getaway for my 35th Birthday being a peaceful, relaxing couples retreat. It was everything plus more. It was about 50 degrees with a steady mist of rain though it didn't have any bearing on our stay or plans. The inside as well as the outside was very calming and relaxful. I would most definitely recommend. (A total of 6 people attended)

We were in love with the cabin!
Out stay was wonderful! We would have loved to stay longer! The cabin was very clean and accommodating. The hot tub was amazing. Had a little trouble turning on the fireplace and our host Anne was able to come and help within minutes. Our family was very pleased.

Absolutely Perfect!!!!!
This property was perfect for our family group of 8! I think we utilized everything - fishing, fire pit, grill, corn hole game and 6 kayaks! We brought in food and cooked in pans that are nicer than the ones I have at home! Our only trauma was a flat tire but our host came through when AAA failed us and took off our tire/wheel and took it somewhere and got it fixed, brought it back and put it back on! Service like that is rare! Thank you Darin!!!

Didn’t want to leave
Our family enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night. The kids love catching fireflies at night and walking down the road to the river to fish and kayak. We drove to Broken Bow and explored amazing parks as well. The home was so nice and clean and comfortable. We would stay again!

Best week ever
We had so many adventures and loved the comfort of the cabin and the ability to text the owner for any single reason and getting answers or help at the drop of a hat. It was a fabulous cabin with a fabulous view and hiking all around. It was such a great stay we can’t wait to go back. Loved it!

Cozy get away with lots of amenities
Couldn’t have asked for a better cabin. We slept 7 comfortably. Cute Cabin decor in every room, location, and amenities make this cabin very special - Complete dishes and pots/blender, corn hole, baby feeding chair, marshmallow grill sticks, wood for firepit, wide variety of about a hundred DVDs, porch string lights, three comfy beds and shared kayaks and canoe available. We went on a hike around the area as well. Roads in and out in great condition. Checkin and out hassle free. Loved the cabin and hope to be back!

Great location. Owners very accommodating. Beautiful scenery. Kid & pet friendly. Would stay again.
We rented the cabin for a weekend get away in February. We had 3 families for a total of 8 guests and 3 small dogs. Cabin was warm and cozy. Scenery is beautiful. We enjoyed the camp fire area and made s’mores. Wood was available for us to use by owners. Great front and back porches for relaxing. Owners are very accommodating and respond quickly. Beds are comfortable. Cabin is very clean. Just a few minutes drive from beavers bend/ broken bow area. Gas station and Dollar General just a few minutes away allowed us to make quick trips for items we needed. Great for a couple or for families. We hope to come back soon! 5 out 5
