Great location. Walkway down to the beach had one section that was a sheet of plywood that was difficult to navigate.

Our extended family had a wonderful week together in this house. It was the perfect size for our crew of 15 people - we never felt cramped and there was plenty of space for relaxing and dining together on the main floor. The 3 balconies also allowed for plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Each bedroom had a full bathroom which was also excellent!! Note that the bedroom on the main floor has a bunk bed in it/is not exactly a “primary” bedroom (in case you are, like us, planning for a grandparent to use that room. :)) but it was totally fine. We loved the pool and hot tub, which kept us busy in between trips down to the beach! Both were serviced during our visit which ensured they were clean and well taken care of. This was our first time staying on the north side of the island and we greatly enjoyed it. Although it was further to get to Surf City, there is convenient shopping on the mainland in Sneads Ferry. The beach was lovely and not too crowded at all.There were some general upkeep needs with the house, as is common in these vacation rentals. One thing to note is the stairway down to the beach has a section that seems to be temporarily patched and doesn’t have handrails. We ended up buying bags of ice because the fridge ice maker is broken and while there are two table top ice makers, they didn’t make enough for our large crew. Not a huge deal but just to be aware.Kyle was extremely communicative and helpful. We loved our stay and highly recommend to other families!!:)

Great location on the island

The house is conveniently located near the bridge so you can access everything pretty quickly. We enjoyed the large kitchen, private pool, and covered decks. Owner was very quick to respond and friendly. The house and kitchen are stocked very well!

Wonderful property and even better host!

This house has it all! Lots of space to spread out, beautiful views, lots of kitchen necessities, and supplies to get our week started. The host, Kyle, was super responsive to our needs and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our family enjoyed this property so much and hope we can return!

This house is beautiful, and very close to the beach/ocean. Coffee on the deck and morning sunrises were just amazing. The kitchen island and long table were perfect for our family meals. Kyle, the host was very responsive to all questions. As per other reviews, the ice maker in the refrigerator still does not work, but the ice maker on the island was sufficient as we ran that and dumped it into the freezer. One jet on the hot tub still does not work, but we enjoyed it anyway. We had a wonderful trip and the home is very spacious and updated.

Perfect House - Thanksgiving stay

We were in town for a wedding a couple of doors down, and decided to extend our stay to include Thanksgiving week, and I believe it will become a family tradition based on our stay in this rental. The house was very clean (and I am very picky), and comfortable (again, I'm picky). We have never stayed on the northern part of the island, so were a little concerned about beach erosion, but the beach was nicer in this area than I expected. We had guests ranging from age 2 to 88, and everyone was happy with the accommodations. I will say there are a number of steps both in the house, and down to the beach, so if that is something that bothers you, be aware (it didn't bother us). Kyle was great to deal with and we only had to reach out to him once with a question. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 19 and the kitchen was well equipped. Appreciate the extra fridge and wine fridge as well as the additional dishwasher... and the beautiful sunrises/sunsets.

Superb family vacation

My family and I have been vacationing annually in Topsail Island for the last 19 years. We stayed at many nice houses and come to love the island and the people here. But this house exceeded all expectations. It was the cleanest, Had every thing we could possibly think that we might need including a high For the little one, beach towels, plenty of bath towels, every kitchen gadget

Nice House

While no property is ever perfect, overall we were happy with the house. The beach was quite small and there had been some major erosion from recent storms but the house itself was great. Only complaint is there was no ice maker and we had to run to buy ice several times. We would stay again.

Great House

House is extremely well stocked with anything you might need! We had a few minor issues/questions upon check-in and the owner (Kyle) was very responsive and proactive. We had 6 teenagers and this was the perfect location with the park/fishing pier/ice cream store across the street. Would highly recommend this house and the owner!

So many little things provided like coffee filters, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, well equipped kitchen, etc. Kyle was the best host I have ever encountered with a VRBO property. He answered every inquiry within minutes. And his replies were very clear and concise. We loved the house and its location. And Kyle was the icing on the cake.

Great Overall Experience

Communication with the host was fantastic. We arrived early and he was very accomodating, allowing us to park at the house to hit the beach while it was being cleaned. By no fault of the host, there was an AC failure the firat day but he was prompt calling out an emergency HVAC service to get it fixed right away. We did a small amount of extra bathroom cleaning, if we didnt have so many small children (8) we probably could have lived with it. Overall our group of 16 was very happy with the house and very appreciative of the host being accessible! We would stay again!

Beautiful home and location

I stayed in this house with my whole family which included a wide range of ages. It was absolutely perfect for everyone. The house was clean and exactly as described and we were all impressed with how well stocked (especially the kitchen) the house was to ensure we didn’t need anything while we were there. The location is wonderful, we loved having a private beach that was a bit more quiet. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

Christmas Family Reunion

Great use of space, every room had their own bathroom and shower. Great location. Park for the kids, beach, jacuzzi, basketball across street, store only 5 min away, and great jogging trail. House is well used, but ocean weather does this. 2 dishwashers was a dream. Contact with House Host was spot on, always answers quickly. When something didnt quite work right and needed to be fixed it got fixed immediatley. Thanks for the great stay.

Outstanding Vacation

This was our first trip to the North Carolina coast and it did not disappoint. Our four families (four adult couples and 6 children) were all very comfortable with our accommodations. We loved having the four spacious bedrooms with king sized beds and private baths. The kids were able to spread out in the remaining three bedrooms. We prepared most of our meals at home. The kitchen was very well stocked to handle all of our cooking needs. We made good use of the spacious kitchen and gas grill. The second refrigerator/freezer in the basement came in handy for extra drinks and ice. Our favorite feature was being just steps from the ocean along with having fabulous balconies that overlooked the continuously rolling surf. We all loved swimming and riding the waves in the warm NC waters. The pool was a big hit and although the hot tub only had one working jet it still got used every day. The house is beginning to show some signs of age but our host, Kyle, was unbelievably responsive with each concern we had. A maintenance person would show up almost immediately to handle all the minor issues. Souvenir shops, liquor stores and supermarkets are all within a few miles which was quite convenient. There were also a few different ice cream shops within walking distance. Overall, we had a fantastic trip and were delighted with our accommodations, and with Kyle as our host. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return for a NC beach vacation.

Great location for family vacation

This was our first trip to Topsail and it was a welcome change from the super busy OBX or Gulf Shores. The house is amazingly close to the beach and the views are superb. The park and ice cream shop right next door was an added bonus. Everyone had their own bathrooms and the main living area was centrally located on the third floor. The decks, private walkway to the beach, and the many Adirondack chairs were the best part. As mentioned in previous reviews, the hot tub only has one working jet, which disappointed some in the group. The host was always super responsive before and during our trip, and he did have a pool guy come to look at the hot tub, but they were unable to fix it before we left. We were also missing two sets of linen on the first night of our reservation, which was unfortunate for a few of our guests, but the cleaning lady did show up early the next morning to take care of the issue. Overall, the house and location were a good choice for our vacation with the entire family.

Sand, shark teeth, sunsets, sunrises and seashells!

We just spent a week at this wonderful beach house! We had 12 adults and 5 children. We had plenty of room! It was amazing! After a long long search, this place checked off all our boxes: king size beds, bathrooms for each room, heated swimming pool, hot tub, and located ON the beach! The kitchen was well stocked and the 2 dishwashers and 2 fridges were amazing! They also have 2 wine fridges that kept our waters and drinks cool as well! Plenty of seating for everyone to eat and lounge together. The views are Incredible. And the sounds of the ocean even better! The decks with chairs were used everyday all day! The outdoor shower was great! The pool and lounge chairs were awesome! And the way the pool is set up, if it’s really windy on the beach the pool is kind of protected from the wind. The hot tub heated to up to 104 really well. It is an older hot tub and not all the jets work, but we still enjoyed it. We used the barbecue several times. We enjoyed the pool table and tv in the game room. There is a high chair, and 2 pack and plays and a crib. The park across the street was super fun! We played volleyball, tennis, pickle ball and the kids played on the play ground. No vacation comes without a few little hiccups. But luckily Kyle, the owner/manager was right on everything we needed. The hot tub had some issues when we arrived and he had the maintenance people come and take care of it right away. Kyle is super helpful and very responsive. We had a lot of fun going into Surf City and going roller skating at a skating rink they have. It’s from the 60’s and the skates were newer and great! Totally recommend this. They only take cash though, and it’s $10 a person. There is a homemade ice cream place right by the skating rink. Lots of fun flavors! Owner is super nice. We LOVED these places to eat: Shaka Taco in Surf City. Daybreak Donuts in Surf City. Sunrise bagel in Surf City. Diver Surfside Cafe- their Açaí bowl is the best we have ever had, including from Hawaii. The beach kept us all completely entertained! From boogie boarding to collecting shark teeth! (This was everyone’s favorite and very addicting!) I took one star off on the cleanliness. There were a few things that could be better. I have no doubt the owner will handle them. You can tell they’ve taken great pride in remodeling and keeping things up to share with guests. Thank you Kyle.
