“When we arrived the property seemed older than we thought from pictures and the inside is dated. However, the inside is very personalized by the owner and is very unique and was quite comfortable. If you think about visiting a remote cabin in Alaska, this is it. If you want a modern home with newer amenities this is not the place. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider it again. I do wish they had a better freezer situation for fish but with 7 of us fishing it still worked out...

“very nice cabin. rented motor boat that broke down in middle of lake, owner offered no help in getting us back to shore. overall everything turned out ok but it could have been a very bad experience. had to row over a mile to get to broken down motor boat, then we had to fix it ourselves ”

“This hotel had shut down and we got no notice. Only found out they were closed after driving 2.5 hours and not being able to reach the lodge by phone.”

Great common space with fireplace and wood, barbecues and picnic tables. Host communications outstanding. Will come again with friends and family.”

“We stayed for 2 nights traveling through from Homer to Healy. We wished we had time to stay longer! Very comfortable and we loved having the ability to wash our clothes during our trip. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved evenings on the deck. We had a slight hiccup with check in, the battery in the lock was dead but Jacob came immediately and fixed it. I highly recommend this property.”
