This is a great 3 bedroom home with extra sleeping. Our family enjoyed our time at this home. Nice place in the country and close to Somerset and Hidden Valley. We look forward to renting again when we are back in the area visiting family.

Our stay was delightful. The location and home is lovely and comfortable. Check in was easy. Almost everything we needed was there. The air-conditioning and bathroom facilities and electronics were great. However, the kitchen oven and range hood needs some thorough cleaning. We had to clean huge piles of burned food from the oven before we could use it. The screens in the range hood are clogged with grease and it is not usable. The grass needed mowed and the landscape needs some TLC. The fire pit in the backyard was super enjoyable for all of us and the surrounding woods were refreshing. The entry way and garage has a strong mold musty smell that was hard to adjust to. The location is very convenient for our needs. So mostly we were happy.

The chalet was an exceptional property—one of the few properties I’ve ever stayed where the photos online undersold how great the location is in person. My group and I stayed for a relatively low-key weekend and spent nearly the entire trip just hanging around the house and backyard. The house was extremely clean, fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom amenities, and contained a finished basement with multiple TVs, a bar, and a poker table. The wifi was great despite over a dozen devices being connected to it at once, the air conditioning was an unimaginable luxury on one of the hottest weekends of the year, and we comfortably slept 10 people without anyone needing to share bed space (we did bring several air mattresses, which we were fine with). Of course, there are plenty of other activities to tap into close by, but the space was nice enough that we didn’t really feel compelled to leave. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, except for the next time my group and I intend to book it, in which case I recommend staying elsewhere so I can come here again.

Pleasant stay at the Chalet

Perfect house for our travel stop in PA. The house is clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the property was quiet. There was some road noise as others have mentioned but it did not affect our sleep. Wifi was strong and worked well. The nearby town provided plenty of dining options - check out The Italian Oven and Summit Diner. Thanks to Jen for being a great host!

Great family weekend

We had a wonderful family time staying at the Getaway Chalet. Two family members were coming from Europe, and this place provided us with very comfortable accommodations, inside or outside. We took advantage of the great location and visited Flight 93 before arrival and Fallingwater after and also did some hiking around the chalet. In the evening, we prepared an outdoor fireplace, and with good weather, we had the perfect weekend atmosphere. We also enjoyed indoor games. Had no issues checking in or with internet. Would definitely recommend and come again for another nice weekend. Thank you!

Awesome house, very close to Seven Springs

We had a great time at the house! 7 men stayed for an archery shoot at the mountain and it was perfect with plenty of sleeping for all of us. Highly recommend and Jen was very easy to work with!

Ski Trip with Friends

We had a short and wonderful stay at this chalet. It was a great place to crash after skiing all day. The house is beautiful and spacious; great common rooms, especially the gameroom/basement/bar area! Jen, the host, is very communicative and kind. We all slept very comfortably and enjoyed waking up to the snowy view of the woods! We will definitely be back for our next ski trip!

Nice Clean Cabin in the Woods

Great location-very clean

We were impressed with the cleanliness upon our arrival. And it was a good location for us to go hiking at Laurel Hill State Park. The plates and cups in the kitchen Were good quality. We appreciated, having towels, clean linens, and shampoo and body wash provided. As others have said, even though it’s near Trent Road, which can be busy, you don’t hear the traffic from the street. Highly recommend

Great Cabin!

This cabin was one of the best we have stayed at and plan to return. The location is easy to find and there are no neighbors. It is close to the road, and you can hear the traffic, but it wasn't too bad. The house is very nice and well equipped. The golf game in the basement was awesome. There is a charcoal grill and there was charcoal and lighter fluid in the garage (not sure if it's always provided or if someone left the supplies). There is firewood provided but they are large logs and no kindling. Next time we will bring kindling with us since without it was impossible to build a fire. The cabin was very close to the local park and also a pizza place that also serves ice cream. This is the only cabin we have been to over the years that we actually want to go back to!

Outstanding home

Beautiful home and furnishings.. Rooms are all very spacious with modern decor. Very close to everything but very private. Great gameroom and firepit. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The host provides toiletries, towels and bedding. We will definitely revisit this beautiful home.
