Beautiful house and yard, great retreat space for the family. Easy walk to the lake with uniques lake access with tram and stairs. Very easy to get to South Haven or Saugatuck. Would definitely stay again!

The Lake Michigan Charmer was the perfect spot for our three-day weekend in South Haven. The house is about a 10-15 minute drive from the downtown South Haven area, and it is about a five minute walk to the sizable, sun-side beach, with private access limited to the neighborhood association and guests only. Another plus when visiting the beach are the four tram-elevators. We were able to get all of our gear for two families and a stroller down to and up from the beach easily.The house itself is incredibly well kept, both in terms of cleanliness and so thoughtfully appointed with pretty much anything you could possible need for your stay and for the beach. Our group of four adults and four young boys spent equal time in the sunny sitting area, the spacious kitchen, the covered patio, and the backyard and hot tub area. As you will see from the listing the master bedroom is above the garage and a little removed from the rest of the house, and it is incredibly spacious and comfortable. In can fit a family of four or four kids. The beds are all super comfortable in every room. Finally, the host is incredibly responsive, and you can immediately get a sense of how much she cares for both her guests and her property. She really is a fantastic host and sets a very high bar for future VRBO hosts for our family. Final comment: the gas grill was clean, lit with ease, and had a full propane tank. That level of detail in peak, mid-summer is exemplary of a 10/10 home and host!!!

This home is lovely. Very clean with well appointed features! The owner responded within hours to questions. Close to the beach and South Haven. It was perfect for our family gathering of five!

Absolutely wonderful!!

We just left the Lake Michigan Charmer and are already making plans to return! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and only a few minutes drive to downtown South Haven. The home is located on a dead end road, so there was very little traffic. It is a very short walk from the home to the end of the road which overlooks Lake Michigan, and there are stairs and trams which take you down to a private, uncrowded beach! The home is beautiful and is the best supplied home which we have ever rented. The pictures included were taken while we were sitting at the end of the road! No filters!
