We rented this home for a special family reunion Christmas. I have 4 adult sons, and it was the first time the younger 2 boys had seen the older 2 boys in 15 years. We were pleasantly surprised to see the Christmas lights on the house, and a Christmas tree in the living room area complete with a gas fireplace.
Chen was a very gracious hostess, and called me promptly upon making the reservation to review details. She gave my family an extraordinarily generous gift in honor of our special occasion, which will be cherished. .
The home is picture-perfect for a family Christmas and the photos on VRBO do not capture its beauty and charm. There is plenty of room for sleeping, and a full bath on both the 1st and 2nd floors.
If you’re looking for a dream kitchen to prepare a holiday meal in, this is a novice chef’s jackpot! It’s quite stunning with its tiled countertops, 6-gas burner chef’s stove, and double ovens. If you plan to do some baking, you may want to bring some cookie sheets, cake pans, or muffin/bread pans, but otherwise you’ll find just about everything you need. I, personally, enjoyed the enormous kitchen, and took away lovely memories of making meals and baking with my boys and their girlfriends for Christmas.
The beds are comfortable, and the TV area has a pull-out, and can be made into a private space for sleeping in with curtained French doors.
The upstairs bathroom has ample room, a private toilet within it, and a beautifully tiled whirlpool bath, and rainfall walk-in shower. The downstairs bathroom has a seated shower and handicap accessible bathroom, and there’s a brand-new model washer/dryer in there too.
To perspective renters bringing a wheelchair (WC) bound person: The 1st floor bedroom is not WC accessible. If the person can walk from the door to the bed, they would be ok. Otherwise, they may be better accommodated in the TV area with the pull-out bed and curtained French doors.
This is an historic home, with beautiful renovations which we found to be a perfect place to spend our Christmas holiday. There are plenty of lovely surprises for everyone, like a reading room & fireplace on the 2nd floor and a game room on the 3 rd floor equipped with a PlayStation 3 and colorful chairs. We brought board games and had a great time sitting around the dining room table together having lots of laughs! I highly recommend this beautiful home! Thank U, dear Chen!
