“Neighborhood seemed sketchy, but it’s located at the end of the road and has a gate. Trail to the lake was steep but it was a good workout. Kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils, even had a variety of spices and food! Rooms are very spacious and each room had an extra bed/mattress which was very accommodating for our huge family who travelled far. It had a fireplace and fire wood, life jackets and kayaks. “Our stay was nothing short of perfect! Surrounded by nature, it was the ideal spot to unwind and recharge. Mornings were spent reading on the porch, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the outdoors. “My husband and I stayed for a quick work trip. The home is older, but well cared for. There were fans and a solid AC - which fended off the even-hot-for-TX May temps. There were even ice cubes and chilled/filtered water in the fridge when we arrived. A coffee-shop and grocery store are very close by.
