Getting around South Padre Island is simple and convenient.

◆ The free Island Metro shuttle runs throughout South Padre Island and Port Isabel and is a convenient way to explore without a car.

◆ For added flexibility, many guests choose to bring or rent a vehicle. Free parking is available at Edgewater.

◆ The island is small and easy to navigate. Restaurants, shops and attractions are concentrated along Padre Boulevard and are generally within a short drive or shuttle ride.

◆ Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) is the closest commercial airport. We recommend allowing approximately 30 to 45 minutes for the drive, depending on traffic.

◆ McAllen International Airport (MFE) is roughly 1.5 hours away, depending on traffic.

◆ Lost wristbands have a $20 replacement fee. There is no replacement charge when a torn wristband is returned.

◆ Check-in begins after 4:00 PM, and checkout is before 11:00 AM.
