The stay and location was awesome but there was female and dog hair everywhere upstairs in the bathrooms, master bedroom, and kitchen. The masterbed room bedding was dirty with stains with black female hair throughout, we bought pillows, sheets, and blankets for our use during our stay. Same black hair in both showers, bathroom, kitchen, and living roomThe management company should expect better cleaning services.

We had a wonderful stay at this Spectacular Oceanfront View Family Friendly Beach House. Our family spent three days here, and it was truly one of the most relaxing and welcoming places we have stayed on South Padre Island.The house is incredibly homey, comfortable, and well cared for. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a place designed for families to relax and enjoy the beach. The oceanfront view is absolutely beautiful, and being able to wake up and see the water each morning made the experience even more special.Everything in the house was clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged, which made our stay easy and stress-free. It was the perfect environment to spend quality time with family, enjoy the beach, and simply slow down for a few days.What made the stay even more meaningful was the wonderful family who owns the home. They were kind enough to share their story with us, and it added a very personal touch to the experience. You can really feel that this house is loved and cared for.We are very grateful they opened their home to guests like us. Thank you for allowing us to stay and for creating such a special place for families to enjoy.We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly place to stay on South Padre Island, and we hope to come back again in the future.

Andrea was super helpful and very responsive to my various comments and questions. The property was very well stocked and had great amenities! Our entire group, six adults, one two-year old and a dog had a wonderful time during our 19 day stay.

This home could not have been more perfect for our family. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location is amazing with the easy beach access and views, and walking distance to town and restaurants. The host was super responsive, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Can't recommend this property highly enough.

This is the second time we stayed here. We enjoyed it just as much . It is very comfortable, clean. They made it very easy to access. Can’t beat the beach access and the view from the patio. South Padre Paradise

The house was even nicer than in the pictures and just across the street from the beach. Also liked that I was able to walk to Karma Coffee (a great cafe/bookstore) in the morning for coffee and great breakfast sandwiched. Highly recommended and I hope to be back!

Nice family vacation

Beautiful home right across the street from the beach. Easy to get to, close to restaurants, shopping, etc. You can tell the owners really put effort into making their guests’ stay special. The only unexpected thing for me was a somewhat busy street in-between the house and beach, however, it’s 25mph and everyone drives slow.

This is an amazing property. Beach access 10 across the street. Comfortable beds, plenty of nice towels, well stocked kitchen. It is clean and bright . You can see ocean from the kitchen. We will stay here again! Thank you for sharing your property with us!!

We had a group of seven, all adults and 1 fur baby! I was very pleased with the accommodations and location of house. Easy access to beach. Owner and property manager available for any needs. We would definitely stay here again! Loved the story of the house and the family that built it! That made it special and not just renting from a hotel chain. Thanks for sharing!

Clean and Orginized.

We enjoyed the stay. It was stress free. All the everyday things we use in a normal home were provided. Instructions on washer and other devices were clear and easy to understand. Internet worked without a hiccup. The property was very clean. It was bigger than expected. Thank you for the wonderfull stay.

Beach Anniversary Celebration

Beautiful getaway

This was an amazing home for me and my bridesmaids to celebrate the new year and also get ready for my wedding day. It was awesome to see the beach from the front porch and watch the fireworks, we also had an amazing full moon experience. We used the outdoor shower to wash our feet after walking back from the beach and just loved every second. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 decided a beach Christmas would be great this year. We looked at lots of house listings and decided on The Second Sandbar. We were so glad we did! This house was so comfortable and welcoming. All the little touches throughout the house made us feel right at home. The location was amazing! We had easy access to the beach plus a beautiful view of the ocean from the upper balcony. The owners left an incredibly helpful “handbook” that gave us the inside scoop on what to do and where to eat throughout our stay. We made several meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and had a blast playing some of the available games. There were plenty of comfy beds for everyone and lots of space to spread out. This may be my favorite VRBO rental of all time!

Magnificent home!!!

This home was absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained!! They went out of their way to stock the slightest necessities for our 1-week stay! The house view was beautiful sitting on the front porch and such an easy access to the beach and everything else around. Communication with the owner and property manager was perfect. I will definitely return and stay here again.

Excellent family vacation, Summer 2023

Wonderful, amazing, exceeded expectations. Convenient beach access, beautiful porch with views of the gulf, outdoor shower, garage access for storage, spacious well stocked kitchen and great room with views of the gulf, very comfortable beds, high quality appliances in the kitchen and laundry room. My family (all 2SB members) have vacationed in SPI for over 20 years and the Second Sandbar is the best property we have rented. We will definitely return !

AMAZING

We will definitely go back! From the day we booked, there was a great communication between the owner and the property manager. Once we arrived, Cindy was always available to help us. Our wiener dogs love to going on the beach! This house was stocked very well with everything we needed! Will definitely recommend to friends! Oh, and one more thing, I left two of my chargers in the bedroom, and Cindy was nice enough to ship them to me! Thank you!

Amazing!

Property was clean and well equipped, photos don’t do it justice. Located directly across the street from a beach access point so going back and forth was extremely easy. The outside shower made cleaning sand off a breeze. I can’t stress enough just how great the location of this property is. House was absolutely beautiful and it made for the best stay we’ve had on the island. Highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic Beach House

This house has it all! If you have a large family or group and want the best location and amenities on the Island, then this is the place. The house was spotless and well kept. The location is perfect for hitting the beach and getting to restaurants, stores, etc. There are beach supplies (Cart, boogie boards, chairs, etc) in the garage that you can use and return when done. You can tell that the owners have a lot of love for this house and want you to enjoy it as much as they do. We will absolutely be staying here again. The wrap around porch with a full view of the gulf was perfect for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. The whole experience was 5 star.

South Padre Second Sandbar

This lovely home has a deck that provides a beautiful view of the water and plenty of seating to enjoy time with family/friends. The owners are very accommodating and personable, and the local property manager is also responsive. We have stayed in many nice VRBO houses, and this home was the best-stocked with paper products, soap, immediate needs, etc. than any other. The home is also close to good restaurants, shops, and activities. We had a wonderful time.
